I've had special commissions for birthday cards this week, and one is for a little girl turning one. Because the party invitation had beautiful flowers and a bunny, it seemed fitting that her card could reflect that theme. I used the kitty sketch above, to spark my inspiration but it soon grew from a standard card, to something a bit more extravagent.
A sister demonstrator, also on the CASE-ing The Catty design team, was kind enough to stamp me several different images of the recently retired bunny. Thank you Kathryn for helping me out.
I've used this bold birthday greeting from Perennial Birthdays on all four special orders, beginning with the 21st card for a male. Then as the Stamparatus, I've continued on and made the little girls' cards, and one for my son whose birthday is in July. I love the Stamparatus!!! Initially I was going to trim the panel down once it was stamped, but added the child's name with Lined Alphabet stamps and heat embossed with Copper embossing powder.
I'd watercoloured during the afternoon with a friend, and so decided to colour the name with very carefree watercolouring and splashes of Wink Of Stella Gold. Now I need to keep working on preparations for my Catalogue Launch on June 30th. Are you coming?
Please consider sharing your creation of a favourite retiring project at our Facebook page. We love to see what you've made too. Remember, pages 26-37. Now head over to Kelly Kent in W.A to see which delightful project she is sharing.
