Colour Creations Insta Hop - Week 5 - Timid Tiger

Usually, it's a struggle for me to use orange but I like the 'gentler' tone of Timid Tiger and enjoyed trying out some new dies and stamps while creating this card.

The ornate cut out holding the label is Beautiful Motif dies, which I had thought would only be useful for memory keeping but it appears not.

Paper Tags provided a 'different' sentiment, stamped in Early Espresso. The flowers were small enough to be quickly coloured with Stampin' Write Markers.

CASE An Easy Option CTC 522

CASE-ing The Catty Crew are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from Australia & New Zealand who take inspiration weekly from the catalogues. The catalogues are a fantastic resource, and we love to inspire you to seek inspiration there too.

The Father's Day card at the top left of this picture inspired me to pull Trusty Tools stamps and dies off the shelf to make a quick card. It's a very loose interpretation for my CASE, I needed an easy card for my community group and also wanted to participate in the CTC challenge. Some of them make Father's Day cards for a local school but there will be the option of a 'Happy birthday' greeting too.

The tools are small enough that colouring with Stampin' Blends was quick and I was able to use Darling Duckling on the tape measure. The mat behind the navy check DSP (Take to the Sky) is Darling Duckling too.

Initially I was going to use a tag from Take To The Sky DSP but realised that the pegboard die was a good substitute and very easy too.

Colour Creations Insta Hop - Secret Sea - Week 3

Weekend Adventures is a scrap book stamp really, and that is what I bought it for, but I couldn't go past a simple bunch of flowers in a mug to show off the 2025-2027 In colors. This week the Colour Creations Insta Hop is featuring Secret Sea, a moody dark denim blue, which I'm using a LOT for stamping and to frame this image.

Weekend Adventures includes a splatter stamp and I came back to add some Cloud Cover splatters to the stark white background. Impressions Abloom dies has a couple of large oval frames which I used to cut the opening.

With small floral images like this, it doesn't really matter what you use to colour. The Stampin' Write markers are quick and easy to use and have the added advantage of not bleeding through the card stock.

 

Colour Creations Insta Hop - Strawberry Slush - week 4

Week 4 of Colour Creations Insta Hop and we are featuring Strawberry Slush. Oddly, it's a returning InColor, which in my 14 years with Stampin' Up! I have never heard of previously.

Secret Sea is the contrast colour I paired with it, cutting a set of the Gallery Blooms frame dies and using two of them.

An order with Stampin' Blends onboard has arrived so I used Strawberry Slush & Daffodil Delight to colour those blooms, with Cloud Cover for the leaves.

 What did I do with the leftover frame? Made another card of course!

Magic Mushrooms

I seem to have been running on the spot all week and haven't had enough time to create but I thought I'd share this 'Magic Mushroom' card that I made a while ago with you tonight.

Keeping to a basic colour palette suited my mood at the time, and I had been wanting to use the Everyday Arches dies. They aren't in a catalogue, check under dies in the online store or just pop the name in the search bar.

The DSP is no longer available, it was a SALE-A-Bration release but there are others which could be easily substituted. Terrific Toadstools can be ordered alone or as a bundle at a 10% discount with a toadstool punch.

Something Old, Something New...

One of my grandsons is celebrating a birthday today and he is totally into "Olde Worlde", so his birthday request was braces and a gold pocket watch. To match the gift I 'borrowed' this pocket watch from a retired kit, Timeless Greetings and the greeting stamp seemed appropriate too.

Something old is Boho Blue, the lighter blue card which recently retired but pairs with Take To The Sky DSP, which is still current. The Adventurous Sky stamps and dies released to go with this paper are in the Last Chance section at a reduced price.

 The 'New' is the two sentiments on the inside of the card. The Right Words stamp is found on page 89 of the latest Stampin' Up! annual catalogue. It includes many sentiments for both the outside and inside of cards, a frequent request from customers.

Colour Creations - Week #1- Cloud Cover

A group of the Art With Heart Team is hopping through the Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order. This is week #1 of a brand new Colour Creations Insta Hop. The Stampin' Up! annual catalogue went live yesterday so now it is time to introduce Cloud Cover, the first of our five In Colors.

I only have card stock in this colour, so paired it with Secret Sea ink & card. It was fun to try out some more new product too - Gallery Blooms stamp/die bundle, Beautiful Motifs stamp/die bundle and some added interest to the frame with Elements of Text.

Most of the products are from Beautiful Gallery Suite Collection, including the new embossing folder, Damask Designs.
