Hi, Hello There!

Have you used Canvas Creations on page 156 of the catalogue yet? I have made some card fronts for an October class and was trying to find something small for the left over pieces, when it occurred to me to make mini letter banners for a card.

I have stamped 'HI' with Morning Post Alphabet onto the canvas using Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry. Just love the way the script on the letters shows through. I took my color-cue from the Epic Day DSP and cut some of the shapes using the Hearts a Flutter Framelits, and hand cutting others. After adding some brads to a couple of the banners, I adhered them over Baker's Twine (which isn't visible after all that!) and finished off with hello there from the Happy Day stamp set.

I'm spending a few days near St Ives, Cornwall at the moment with my dear husband
Feel free to leave a hello for me here, and thank you for visiting.

Thinking of You SSC#46

This single stamp, Just Thinking (129940 Page 21) is a big favourite of mine because of its versatility. It will only be available in the 25th Anniversary mini Catalogue until June 30th and I hope to show more ways you can use this stamp in the next few weeks, so remember to check back. It co-ordinates perfectly with the Stampin' Up! Window Frames Collection Framelits which adds to it's versatility. I chose this sketch at Sunday Stamps to guide the design of my card, I find a sketch is always a great starting point, and this one is a beauty!

I've used card in Natural, Soft Suede and So Saffron and dyed three little Flowers (Flower Trim 126869 page 5) with More Mustard Reinker, to top off the banners cut from Tea For Two Designer Series Paper (129311 page 3). The Glimmer Brad is from the Subtles collection ( retired).

I've actually stamped onto canvas, Canvas Creations is a 12" X 12" piece of canvas that can be cut with a die on the Big Shot, or with scissors, on Page 21 of the Mini catalogue. It gives it a lovely "homespun" look too, but hard to see in the photo!

You can read the catalogue by clicking on the picture at right, or if you'd prefer to have one mailed to you (and you live in Australia) text or email me your postal address, and I will get one out to you as soon as possible. Phone 0417500681 or email me. Orders can be made at my online store(click on the shopping basket,it takes you to my SU demonstator page) by phone or email.
Happy stamping
Rachel
