Retiring Stamp Sets and Classes

Elements of Style and Perfect Punches
June Class
A little reminder that I have a class this Thursday evening, Retiring products and "ink to Rubber" technique.
If you click on classes at the top of the blog, it will give you a better idea of what to expect in a stamp class at my house in South Morang, Victoria.

July Classes
I have the dates available for July classes up there also, but I plan to run the same technique for all 4 dates, just putting it out there, what I have available. At this stage I haven't finalised what we will be doing, but I'm playing with the idea of using canvas for stamping, let me know what you think.

Retiring Stock

Speaking of retiring stock, there is two weeks left of the stock take sale.
This is the link for retiring stamp sets...
and this one for accessories and colour (but there isn't much colour left)

You can also go straight to my online store and see the specials there, along with a small picture, so easy.

Check for this special offer , exclusive to me. You are eligible for this prize if you purchase a minimum of $50 worth of Stampin' Up! just for the month of June. If you order $100, you get two entries etc etc.

Some more cards with retiring stamp sets
Natures Walk
Circle Circus
Baby Bundle

Send me a txt 0417500681, or email me @ rpalmieri5@bigpond.com if you need more information about anything, or to book a place for class.

I'd appreciate an early indication of interest, or (lack of interest from my regulars) regarding July classes, as family life is so hectic, and I need to plan my Grandma time too!! Thanks..

Roses for a Birthday

Time to make a card for a challenge I think!

I really like this sketch by Steph, at Sunday Stamps you could use it in so many different ways. I chose the 'soon to retire' Elements of Style stamp set along with the lovely and also soon retiring Perfect Punches. I particularly like the birthday greeting from this set, and I have to say that I am more than a little sentimental about Elements of Style as my late mother gave it to me, when she was right into stamping and I was only beginning to dip my toes in. My darling mother grew the most beautiful roses, as did her mother before her, so even the image brings back some warm memories.

I stamped the image with black Stazon onto Stampin' Up! watercolour paper and punched three random squares with the Postage Stamp Punch, before colouring them with shades of pink with Stampin' write markers and a Blender pen. The background has been stamped with the same stamp and Stampin' Up! Illuminate ink, which gives a lovely, pearly effect. As well as using Basic Jewel pearls to trim the tag, I've scattered a few on the background.
Picked 2nd June 3013! Hurray!
Rachel, Elements of Style is one of my fav sets, so you won me over with that, but I also love how you used the floral image and scattered tiny pearls throughout.

Gingerbread men - FMS50

We are all very excitedly waiting for the Holiday Catalogue to begin on Saturday and today I have made up a "sneak peak" of a cute stamp set that is in there, Scentsational Season. What is even better is that this little set of six stamps has matching framelits dies for cutting out the images. On top of that, Stampin' Up bundled them together for a super-saving of 15%!

I chose the gingerbread man image for this card, and joined their hands with Real Red brads. Following the sketch this week from Freshly Made Sketches I layered gorgeous patterned paper Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack. This is a smaller pad, 11.4cm by 16.5cm, but it contains 48 double-sided designs, 4 of each of the 12 designs. It is a very economical way to get a great variety of papers!
The red herringbone is the reverse of this sweet blue paper.

The greeting is from a set called Perfect Punches, it's been around for a while and as the name suggests, all these greetings match with a punch. There's this one for Christmas, and a fabulous 'happy birthday' which nestles in an oval , 'Thanks' in a scalloped oval and a few others too.

Now don't foget to pop on over to Freshly Made Sketches if you're looking for inspiration!

Happy stamping
Rachel
