Colour Creations - Week #48 - Soft Sea Foam

The participants in AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators and members of Art With Heart. We love to Blog Hop sharing all the Stampin' Up! Colours alphabetically. This is week #48 and Soft Sea Foam is our colour.

It seemed to me like a good idea to team Pretty Peacock (a returning colour) with Soft Sea Foam since I had ink, card and blends still saved from when it was an In Color. Both colours are included in the Hello Irresistible DSP.

The card itself is fairly simple allowing the patterned paper do all the work. The smaller panel has a partial die cut overlay, which had nearly been tossed into recycling when it didn't cut too well.

This solution of trimming it down worked well, adding an extra element of interest.

The Pretty Peacock ink stamped the sentiment, Stampin' Blends were used to colour white ribbon for this card and a tiny glimpse of the card is around the hole in the Tailor Made tag.

CTC#383 CASE Artistic Expressions Section

The CASE-ing The Catty Crew are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from Australia & New Zealand who take inspiration weekly from the catalogues. The catalogues are a fantastic resource and we love to inspire you to seek inspiration there too. Thank you for visiting the blog of Rachel Palmieri in Melbourne, Australia.

It seemed logical to use either Orchid Oasis or Balmy Blue with the Hydrangea Haven card I chose to CASE. Orchid Oasis won this time. I changed out the embossing Folder for Leaf Fall 3D EF in the Mini July-December catalogue.

The circle seemed like it drew all the pieces together, so I included that, but I would make it smaller next time. I also liked the scattering of white flowers.

Graceful Tiles has both lovely sentiments, I mainly bought that stamp set for the greetings.

Down By The Seaside

It probably seems a little crazy to be talking about the seaside when we're in the middle of winter and just past the shortest day of the year. What's even more crazy is taking three grandchildren (13, 11 & 8) away to our holiday house when the weather is as grim as it is this weekend. LOL!!!

The eye is attracted to odd numbers and 3 is a well-used one. The Crumb Cake Tags have shells, stamped & heat embossed with white embossing powder, before filling the colour with a white chalk marker.

The sentiment has also been heat embossed, while the inside of the card has the image stamped in Coastal Cabana. Friends Are Like Seashells have some lovely sentiments as well as images.

I love working from a sketch, and this is my interpretation of the sketch shown above. Sailing Home has a wonderful lighthouse image, and the dies include a few bonus ones with out stamps to match. There is this seaweed, and a ship's steering wheel, and rope. All very handy.

I hope the weather is more favourable where you are, and I'll catch you again soon, if we survive our vacation with the young ones!
