Catching Butterflies Gift

I had a request recently for three sets of notecards as gifts, after my customer had seen a larger, similar greeting card on Instagram. You can see the original here.

Notecards are a little smaller, perfect for slipping into a gift bag, but also can be mailed too.

The stamping is on a Stitched Rectangle panel, one which fits inside the Stitched So Sweetly scalloped rectangle after the colours are blended with a blending brush.

Notecards fit the mini Paper Pumpkin boxes, I just had to work out a way to cut a window in it so the cards could be viewed easily.

It gives me a lot of satisfaction meeting my clients expectations, and I think I succeeded, judging by the smile and many thanks!

Catching Butterflies is a FREE SALE-A-Bration stamp set, which can be added to your $90 order until March 31.(Extended in Australia & New Zealand after shipping delays earlier in the year).

If you'd like to make cards similar to this, and need more information, feel free to get in touch. If you live anywhere in Australia, you may order from my online store (and I'll do a happy dance)! I hold classes in my home - South Morang, Victoria and can do at Phillip Island Victoria as well.

Your orders are very much appreciated, no matter how small or big, every little bit helps me to meet my minimums, and keep on creating. Hopefully you are inspired by some of the projects I share, and want to make your own. My online shop is open anytime and delivery by tracked Australia Post takes 5-10 days.

Pretty Hand Penned

Sometime ago I shared alcohol technique on Facebook Live and had a piece of vellum with these colours left over.

Hand Penned Petals is such a pretty stamp and die bundle, so quite simply, the flowers were die cut in white and placed to the side so it didn't cover too much of the pretty background.

Just a little stamping on the inside to finish off.

The sentiment fitted nicely on a label die from Stitched So Sweetly dies. They are 20% off 16th-18th November, but stock is low of that particular die.

Colour Creations - Gorgeous Grape

Gorgeous Grape is our colour for week 19, a lovely strong, true purple. Back in the Seventies, when tie-dye was the "thing", purple would have been my colour of choice. In fact my first couch after leaving home was this shade!!! The participants in Colour Creations are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators and members of Art With Heart.

Spiral Dye
is a large background stamp from the Annual catalogue. Playing about with colour combinations is half the fun with this big stamp, and by rotating the card 180 degrees, the stamp fills in the gap. Fresh Freesia pairs nicely with Gorgeous Grape in both the ink and card.

Once the background was sorted, it was time to dress the card, and the Penned Flowers dies, from the Hand-Penned bundle were my choice.

A Layered Circle in the appropriate size for the sentiment fits snugly on the Stitched So Sweetly label.

Glittered Organdy ribbon and pastel pearls add a touch more 'party' to this card.

Add an off cut of the Spiral Dye to the inside for the finishing touch. Now head over to Michele to see her gorgeous creation.

If the next button is not working or you'd like to see the entire list of participants, go to Catherine Proctor's blog.
