More So Saffron

So Saffron features on the background of this card and again it's matched with a blue, but this one is the intensely deep shade called Starry Sky.

Conversation Bubbles is a fun, cartoon-like set, perfect for someone who also has a sense of fun.

Master M is learning about letters and numbers, so I needed to add a 5 on a Stitched Shape circle die cut.

Have a happy & safe Easter weekend!

Colour Creations - Week #47 - So Saffron

The participants in AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators and members of Art With Heart. We love to Blog Hop sharing all the Stampin' Up! Colours alphabetically. This is week #47 and So Saffron is our colour.

So Saffron is our palest yellow, but we have a colour refresh coming at the beginning of May, and So Saffron leaves to be replaced by Lemon Lolly.

A cluster of teacups in So Saffron was my choice this week. All three were stamped, and the one on the far left had the surround of the leaf images filled in with a Stampin' Blend in So Saffron. Cup of Tea is an Annual catalogue selection, and it will also be retiring soon.

Products from the mini catalogue used on my project were Conversation Bubbles and the curved scallop border die from Around the Bend.

Tahitian Tide is a lovely bright turquoise blue which contrasts beautifully with So Saffron.

Next talented team member to share is the wonderful Andrea so let's see how she has used So Saffron!

If at any time you find a broken link or would like to see a full list of participants, please head to the blog of our host of the AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop, Catherine Proctor.

CTC #412 CASE a Sketch

CASE-ing The Catty Crew are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from Australia & New Zealand who take inspiration weekly from the catalogues. The catalogues are a fantastic resource, and we love to inspire you to seek inspiration there too.

I'm a big fan of sketches as a starting point for card design and this one came together so easily for me.

By the Bay SDSP had been on my desk as I put together a number of beach-themed projects and it set me thinking about family birthdays. My husband enjoys fishing, probably for the quiet time as much as anything and so this card idea developed.

After pairing a couple of the beautiful papers, I moved on to the rest of the sketch and took a little artistic license.
Rugged Icons is a set of stand-alone dies which include a guitar, mountain scene, beard and a power drill. I've found them very handy when making cards for my tribe of fellas!

The crab is part of the Seaside Bay bundle, and as such has a die to cut it out if you choose. I finished the inside of the card by simply stamping in Crumb Cake.

We love for you to share your projects using the challenges. We do request that the projects you submit have been created especially for this challenge. You can CASE directly or be inspired by a sketch/layout, colour combo or embellishment. Ask to join our Facebook group, and then add a picture of your CASE letting us know which card or project you've CASE-d.

The very talented Monique Fielder is sharing a sunflower card next on this blog hop.

Just wanted To Say Thanks

A delivery hit my doorstep this week which included the new dies Radiating Stitches, currently available in my online store.

Shaded Spruce card was still on my desk from making the last card using that shade and I thought it would look lovely with the gold leaf and a die cut gold foil layer.

Around the Bend was also in that order so a couple of stamps from that lovely. versatile stamp & die bundle were also used.

Painted Textures embossing folder gives the card some random ridges and I apply gold leaf the easiest possible way. Smear Tombow Multi-purpose liquid glue, allow it to dry (overnight in this case) so that it is tacky and then place gold leaf over it. Brush the excess back into the container and you're done.

You can check these and other Stampin' Up! products in my online shop. Colour Creations - Week #45 - Shaded Spruce

The participants in AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators and members of Art With Heart. We love to Blog Hop sharing all the Stampin' Up! Colours alphabetically. This is week #45 and Shaded Spruce is our colour.

When I hear "shaded spruce' I immediately think of trees - well you would too I expect. For that reason, I was determined not to use a tree for this week's challenge. Teen boys have been on my radar lately and Conversation Bubbles seems a good one for them. My only complaint is that there is no birthday greeting in that set, so I grabbed one from Irresistible Blooms which fitted the big bubble.

Rays of Light is the big background stamp which I placed on the Stamparatus for easy multiple stamping.

My class ladies are wanting masculine cards, they must have families like mine with men and boys outnumbering the ladies. They all enjoyed making this card at our March Craft & Chat and although there was a feminine version, this was the one they all chose.

On the inside is an offcut from the Rays Of Light panel, the outline of a Conversation Bubble and stamping from Party Puffin.

It's hard to believe that we have nearly reached the end of our colours, with only a few weeks to go until the new Annual catalogue is in our eager hands! I hope you check in next week to see what the team have made with Smoky Slate.

Now it's time to hop over to South Australia and my talented friend Andrea Sargent. Please comment if you liked my project, it's always nice to hear what you think.

If at any time you find a broken link or would like to see a full list of participants, please head to the blog of our host of the AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop, Catherine Proctor.

Polished Pink, Pale Papaya, Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent & Fresh Freesia are about to retire as In Colors.

I wonder what will replace them?
