This week we are asking you to CASE a Holiday Catalogue Punch project. I did use the pair of bauble punches, but kept it simple.

I really like that Stampin' Up! has included 2 stamp sets which can be used with these punches, in this Holiday catalogue, but at this stage I only have the Christmas Gleaming stamp, which you can purchase as a bundle with the 2 punches at a 10% saving. The alternative co-ordinating stamp set, Memories Of Home, can be found on page 33 of the Holiday Catalogue.

The artists did a great job using the christmas tree to stamp all over the background of the card. I did a small amount of stamping on the corners of the card front and the inside of the card and mainly relied on a piece of neutral DSP from Come To Gather DSP. Although this paper is for Thanksgiving and Autumn, it has good colours and reverse sides for other events. With the buy three packs, get the 4th free offer for September, it's a good time to buy some new DSP, just to ring the changes.
Soft pastels seem to suit this gentle background, and Stampin' Blends give a great result, once you've practised with them. Remember to imagine light is falling, I always seem to choose top left. You may be able to see that I've used a lighter hand with colour there and into the centre. I also applied Wink Of Stella, but it has proven difficult to capture in photographs.

Christmas Gleaming CTC#244

Welcome back to another week of CASE-ing The Catty. The crew is made up of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all parts of Australia and New Zealand. You are at the blog of Rachel Palmieri, Independent Stampin' Up!® demonstrator. I run classes at my home studio in South Morang, Victoria, share Stampin' Up!® products and tools at parties for my customers, create for Craft By Post classes, coach my lovely team and create cards and the occasional 3D project. This week we look to the Holiday Catalogue cover for inspiration, and there is certainly plenty to choose from.

I've CASE-d the snowman card to the left of the 3 cute tags, but I bet you can hardly tell! Although I used a Stitched circle to ground my images, just like the original, there is also a wider Stitched rectangle with the sentiment which almost created an arched window effect.

I couldn't bring myself to skew the pretty paper this time, since it is the more formal Brightly Gleaming, not playful like the Let It Snow suite. Saying that, the stripes are the reverse side of that navy and copper foil paper, so there is lots of variety in that paper.

The baubles and holly are included in the Christmas Gleaming stamp set and the holly is super-easy to stamp, colour and cut with snips, while there are two punches in the bundle to punch out the baubles. Those punches also co-ordinate with a 2nd stamp set in the catalogue,  Memories Of Home but it's the Christmas Gleaming stamp bundle you receive the 10% off with.

The next crew member on the bloghop is Shannon Kissane

Why don't you join the challenge and case something from the front cover of the catalogue. Share it here on our Facebook page
