Daisies Galore FMS#426

It's been quite a while since I've participated in a Freshly Made Sketches challenge, and I can thank the corona virus shutdown on some extra enforced crafting time. I'm not actually complaining ...yet. So long as Stampin' Up! can continue to ship supplies, I'll be fine. (Actually, I ended up missing the cut-off to link - oops!)

This lovely sketch is one to file for frequent use. It is perfect for #loveitchopit, or whenever you want to let the pretty paper be the star. I'm in possesion of some beautiful NEW paper, coming next month, and featuring in the next Stampin' Up! Annual catalogue.

Ornate Garden Specialty designer series paper is a range of gorgeous floral and foil papers, part of a magnificent suite to be previewed next month, and I've shared 3 of the papers here, using the sketch rotated 90 degrees.

You can put anything in the circle, including a sentiment and I have some more ideas brewing for the strip tucked under the DSP on the left as well. Thanks so much Karren for your wonderful sketch!

If you're housebound like me, the Daisy Lane Bundle is an affordable addition to your craft supplies. Order through my shop before the 15th April 2020, and I will post you 2 card bases, 2 strips of the NEW paper and the punched circles, so you can  make two of these cards yourself. Click on the bundle picture, and you will be taken to my shop. Add any other items you may need, your details and credit card (secure site) and they will be shipped direct to you, anywhere in Australia.

Noted CTC#241

Welcome back to another week of CASE-ing The Catty. The crew is made up of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all parts of Australia and New Zealand. You are at the blog of Rachel Palmieri, Independent Stampin' Up!® demonstrator. I run classes at my home studio in South Morang, Victoria, share Stampin' Up!® products and tools at parties for my customers, coach my lovely team and create cards and the occasional 3D project. This week we are CASE-ing from page 101 of the catalogue.

The elephant card caught my eye, partly I think, because I am also a mad-keen patchworker with umpteen projects on the go, and just look at that background. Since I usually make cards, I decided it was time to change things up a tad, and decorated a notebook. Our designer series paper, which come in packs of 12 sheets of beautifully co-ordinated shades are perfect for a bit of mix & match. I used Woven Threads Designer Series Paper using a soft, washed palette. There are many more suitable packs on pages 165-167 of your Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue.

After punching a number of pieces with the Tailored Tag Punch and beginning part-way down against the book binding, I began to assemble my paper patchwork. There is a small margin left around the pieces as the notebook cover was a pleasingly neutral kraft card.

The pieces hung over the edges when I'd fully covered the book, you could use a paper slicer if you have one, or just long-bladed scissors to trim the excess off.

I did stamp a label using the Daisy Lane stamp, co-ordinating medium daisy punch (sold as a bundle at a 10% saving) and Lined Alphabet, using my Stamparatus to get the letters lined up straight. There are so many options you could use to finish off a notebook or diary. It isn't a very difficult project to complete with some pretty DSP, a few punches, glue and scissors and what a handy, homemade gift it would make.

Next up is amazing Siobhan

Daisy, Daisy CI#59

Colour INKspiration is a fortnightly blog initiated by Bronwyn Eastley in Tasmania. The design team is made up of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all parts of Australia and New Zealand. You are at the blog of Rachel Palmieri, Independent Stampin' Up!® demonstrator. I run classes at my home studio in South Morang, Victoria, share Stampin' Up!® products and tools at parties for my customers, coach my lovely team and create cards and the occasional 3D project.

Isn't this just the prettiest, softest colour scheme ever? I just love these sweet colours and decided to tie it in with Daisy Lane, using a little bottle I have as further inspiration. I am very partial to blue and Seaside Spray would have to be a favourite of mine. It is one of the new InColors, so will be current until June 2021 and it is available in card, ink pad, ink refill, Stampin' Marker and Blends - so many choices!!!!!

This is a third daisy included in Daisy Lane. It doesn't have a matching punch or anything, but it is very pretty. As I stamped on thick Whisper White in Smokey Slate, I rotated the image slightly each time. The background was coloured with Seaside Spray Stampin' Blends and I purposely used the darker one around the flower and didn't blend it in.

Two medium daisies were stamped, punched and placed at the edge of the labels. The sentiment is a new one from a stamp set in the Annual catalogue, Welcome To The Team. Those pieces were hand trimmed.

Next stop along this hop is our guest designer, Denise Buetler. Denise lives in Western Australia and was a winner in a recent challenge. Please pop over to see her AMAZING project!

You don't have to have a blog to win the honour of designing for a challenge, you just need to share your card or other project on our Facebook page here.
