Catching Butterflies

Catching Butterflies is a cute little stamp set, and I wanted to explore ways to colour it on today's Facebook live. I try to share some crafting every Tuesday at 11.30 am AEST.

For card one I used Stampin' Blends (alcohol-based pens) and blending brushes to apply colour.

This created a vibrant, rainbow image which was trimmed to fit inside the largest of the Scalloped Contours dies. The sentiment was die cut with a small Layering Circle die after heat embossing in white on black.

Card two was coloured with Watercolor Pencils, blended with a Blender Pen. For the coloured border, a stamp block was placed on the ink pad and applied to the paper.

Catching Butterflies is a FREE SALE-A-Bration stamp set, which can be added to your $90 order until March 31.(Extended in Australia & New Zealand after shipping delays earlier in the year)

If you'd like to make cards similar to this, and need more information, feel free to get in touch. If you live anywhere in Australia, you may order from my online store (and I'll do a happy dance)! I hold classes in my home - South Morang, Victoria and can do at Phillip Island Victoria as well.

Your orders are very much appreciated, no matter how small or big, every little bit helps me to meet my minimums, and keep on creating. Hopefully you are inspired by some of the projects I share, and want to make your own. My online shop is open anytime and delivery by tracked Australia Post takes 5-10 days.

The Hand-Penned Suite is my No. #1 favourite Suite from the 2021-2022 Stampin' Up! Catalogue. When I ordered, I used the one item no. #155503 to get the stamp and die bundle, a pack of 12" x 12" designer series paper, and a pack of Genial Gems.

It arrived in my pre-order, and I began creating immediately. You can see it all on pages 104-105 of your catalogue.

In order to show the whole suite, I made sure to use as many of the new dies from the suite, and others which are new or still available. Tailor Made Tags Dies above and below is one of the newbies I'm loving, along with the ever-popular Layering Circles.

The scalloped-edge die from the Penned Flowers Dies looks good whether it is cut down the long side of the card, or the short. With stitching, it helps co-ordinate with many other dies as well.

Demonstrators often take part in card swaps to generate samples which differ from their usual style of crafting, and these are one set of samples I sent off. I hope they liked them.

If you have a massive wish list, or a friend to order with you, 4 May- 14 June is a great time to place an order. The bigger it is, the more you get free. Orders over $250 earn 10 % in Host Dollars to order more product immediately, and if you reach $400, you not only get 10%, you get a bonus $40. Check on the table below. Ring, message or email if you need more information, or a catalogue.
