CTC#387 CASE A Punch Project

The CASE-ing The Catty Crew are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from Australia & New Zealand who take inspiration weekly from the catalogues. The catalogues are a fantastic resource, and we love to inspire you to seek inspiration there too. Thank you for visiting the blog of Rachel Palmieri in Melbourne, Australia.

This week has been a busy one, and to save time I've used the Texture Chic Memories & More premade cards and envelopes. I CASE-d the punch Project below left but used dies to cut all my pieces. The sentiment has the same stacked format as the card I CASE-d.

The lower right placement of the rectangle was something I also took from the catalogue, and the flowers and leaves from the Season of Chic bundle were a perfect match with the rest of the suite.

The stacked sentiment from Framed Occasions was heat embossed in gold, at the same time as it's stamped frame. That shape is easy to hand cut, although it does co-ordinate with Beautiful Shapes Dies.

The Texture Chic Memories & More envelopes already have gold embossing on them. Now that's a timesaver!

We love having you join in our challenges. Ask to join our Facebook group, and then add a picture of your CASE letting us know which card or project you've CASE-d. No blog required, no special qualifications.

Next talented crew member is Rebecca Scurr

Another 60th Birthday!

So many of my friends turn 60 this year. I needed another card for one of those special birthdays, and used the linen adhesive paper for a touch of luxury.

There may also be some gold leaf for that same touch of extravagance. That is easier to use than you'd think, it just needs something to adhere it, and in this case, I've used Tombow liquid glue, allowed it to get tacky, and then placed the gold leaf on it.

Hello Beautiful was the stamp set, and the matching Beautiful Shapes dies include these hexagons. Another stamp set co-ordinates perfectly with these dies too, Framed Occasions. Great! - double the value!!!

More Robot Buddies

Another play with the Robot Buddies kit, and only the sentiment is stamped. Charming Sentiments have a few suitable phrases that also fit within the speech bubble.

It was fun playing with stickers, where the biggest decision was which head to put on the different bodies.

The cards have been kept fairly simple. The one above already has a scene on the card base, so flowers growing from the lawn was obvious.

These robots seem to love giving flowers! I still have more stickers on the first sheet, and the 2nd sheet is untouched.

Hey Sports Fan

Some masculine cards were needed for my stash and in front of me was Hey Sports Fan designer series paper. At this stage I hadn't bought the stamps and dies because baseball is not such a popular sport in Australia.

Hey Sports Fan DSP 12" x 12" $157882 $20.00

I've since ordered them because I like the ticket dies, and can see other ways to use them and the stamps have good greetings.

It seemed a good starting point to cut flags out, and some of the labels from the paper. Easy enough with a pair of snips too. Then I used hexagons from the Beautiful Shapes Dies (Page 50 J-J mini) to cut the patterns from DSP

Some hexagons were glued down, one was raised on dimensionals, as was a sentiment.

This card has a background textured with the 'Stripes' embossing folder from the duo Stripes & Splatters. They are the narrow ones so had to be used a couple of times for this background. Again, fussy-cut flags, 2 glued down and one raised.
