Tonight the Art with Heart team are
sharing creative projects featuring Simple Stamping, which means our projects
feature only paper, stamps and ink. It’s a great way to create a quick and easy
card for new stampers or for when you need a card at short notice. These
projects highlight how Stampin’ Up! ink, paper and card stock coordinates
perfectly.
If you would like a copy of the 2019 -
2020 annual catalogue, contact any of the girls on the blog hop and we will get
in touch with you.
Young At Heart is a 'different' stamp set for Stampin' Up! but it does seem to fit a particular niche, and I think that is what makes it so good. Although this can be a fun stamp to colour, for #simplestamping, it is better to leave those outlines as they are, and just splatter a little colour about. I thought about splatters with a blend or marker, but that is something better demonstrated in person too, so I chose a spotty stamp from Delightful Day and stamped in three primary colours. It has other handy sentiments also.
A Stamparatus might not be one of the first things you purchase, but it is mighty useful. When stamping with black, and especially with a photopolymer stamp, the image may be a bit patchy, but with the Stamparatus, the stamp can be reinked and placed in exactly the same place a second or even third time.
Stamparatus is also a great help when it comes to getting the sentiment straight. There is a grid on the plates the stamp is a fixed to, and you can test it out on grid paper before stamping to the actual card.
The sentiments are very appropriate for my age group, the mature woman - I think we can all relate to these. With seven stamps in the set you can mix and match as much as you like.
The 'Laughing' card above is a great one to send to remind girlfriends how important it is to have those giggly, de-briefing sessions on a regular basis. A good laugh certainly helps to de-stress!
Notecards and envelopes are an inexpensive way to begin your crafting journey too. There are 20 of each in a pack for $12.25 and you'll find other combinations throughout the catalogue.
