AWH Simple Stamping Blog Hop

Tonight the Art with Heart team are sharing creative projects featuring Simple Stamping, which means our projects feature only paper, stamps and ink. It’s a great way to create a quick and easy card for new stampers or for when you need a card at short notice. These projects highlight how Stampin’ Up! ink, paper and card stock coordinates perfectly.

If you would like a copy of the 2019 - 2020 annual catalogue, contact any of the girls on the blog hop and we will get in touch with you.

Young At Heart is a 'different' stamp set for Stampin' Up! but it does seem to fit a particular niche, and I think that is what makes it so good. Although this can be a fun stamp to colour, for #simplestamping, it is better to leave those outlines as they are, and just splatter a little colour about. I thought about splatters with a blend or marker, but that is something better demonstrated in person too, so I chose a spotty stamp from Delightful Day and stamped in three primary colours. It has other handy sentiments also.

A Stamparatus might not be one of the first things you purchase, but it is mighty useful. When stamping with black, and especially with a photopolymer stamp, the image may be a bit patchy, but with the Stamparatus, the stamp can be reinked and placed in exactly the same place a second or even third time.

Stamparatus is also a great help when it comes to getting the sentiment straight. There is a grid on the plates the stamp is a fixed to, and you can test it out on grid paper before stamping to the actual card.

The sentiments are very appropriate for my age group, the mature woman - I think we can all relate to these. With seven stamps in the set you can mix and match as much as you like.

The 'Laughing' card above is a great one to send to remind girlfriends how important it is to have those giggly, de-briefing sessions on a regular basis. A good laugh certainly helps to de-stress!

Notecards and envelopes are an inexpensive way to begin your crafting journey too. There are 20 of each in a pack for $12.25 and you'll find other combinations throughout the catalogue.

Since I'd already used Delightful Day, which you'll find on page 34 in the Annual catalogue and on page 6-7 in the Experience Creativity Brochure, two of the 'party' cards had this sentiment from that set stamped inside.

Ready To Party CI#60

Colour INKspiration is a fortnightly blog initiated by Bronwyn Eastley in Tasmania. The design team is made up of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all parts of Australia and New Zealand. You are at the blog of Rachel Palmieri, Independent Stampin' Up!® demonstrator. I run classes at my home studio in South Morang, Victoria, share Stampin' Up!® products and tools at parties for my customers, coach my lovely team and create cards and the occasional 3D project.

What a buzz when you actually achieve a challenge! I feel privileged to be a part of the Colour INKspiration design team, because the fortnightly challenge to create and share is a real motivator. I would never have thought to use these colours with this stamp under normal circumstances, but I am so pleased with how it turned out. I've added in Basic Black, Smokey Slate & So Saffron Stampin' Blends for hair and clothing, but the majority of the palette is true.

I'm a big fan of Young At Heart, these giddy gals look like tons of fun to hang out with! Just like my pals when we get around to going on the town (it's a rare event these days, but summer may induce more socialising).

The Flirty Flamingo version was made for a friend turning fifty. That would probably be my usual colour choice, but I have to admit that the challenge-version then influenced the clothing colours on my friend's card. She didn't make a big deal of her Big 0 birthday and is actually going to celebrate by going hiking in Tasmania, but you can't let a significant birthday pass unnoticed.

I've used the sentiment from Delightful Day to decorate the inside, with a little colouring here as well. Tomorrow night at 8 p.m. I have another blog going live using these stamps again, in a much simpler version. #simplestamping in fact.

Now it is time to hop on over to the amazing Julia Quinn

You don't have to have a blog to win the honour of designing for a challenge, you just need to share your card or other project on our Facebook page here.

I'd love you to choose my online shop to purchase from, and when you use the Host Code when asked at check out, I will send you a gift, along with a handmade card. The items listed below were used in my card above, and link to that item in my online shop.
