#simplestamping

The more I use Stampin' Blends, the happier they make me feel! Practise is the key, you learn to leave the white spaces, mix non-matching colours and just get a smoother result. These cards use a simple method of stamping with a new stamp set, Free As A Bird. There are some delightful bird images and very sweet sentiments in this stamp, as well as these blossoms and leaf sprig.

Both flower stamps were placed on a block to ink and stamp at the same time. By rotating the block slightly, it gives a variation to the placement. Light & Dark Flirty Flamingo and Dark Daffodil Delight were my choice to colour the flowers, but the leaves were stamped with soon-to-retire Lemon-Lime Twist. Make sure you have any of the products you need from the retiring In colors, because there soon won't be any left.

Nothing is particularly complicated about this card, even where I stamped a little lighter, I've gone ahead and coloured the flower without getting too concerned. Without many supplies, it means that you don't have to outlay a lot to make some lovely handmade cards.

A stepped-up version of this card uses a little colour for the card base and another layer behind the stamped piece. A different sentiment from Free As A Bird and a scattering of sequins takes it up a notch.

Here you have a side-by-side comparison of the simple card alongside the stepped-up version.

You can purchase any Stampin' Up! supplies you need from me if you live in Australia. Free As A Bird will not be available to order until 4th June, unless you decide to join my team, and you can order from the new catalogue NOW. Country Road

There is no way in the world you'd call me a country gal, but I couldn't resist the images and verse from Country Road. You'll find it on page 163 of the larger Annual Catalogue. Teamed with the Wood Textured DSP (designer series paper) and earthy colours, it makes for a rather pleasing, gender-neutral card.

The card above is perfect for someone beginning their stamping journey, who likes to craft from time to time - and likes to experience SUCCESS! Woo hoo, you gotta love that! Even better, it was put together from left over bits on my work table, so I didn't even put too much thought into what colour banner Happy birthday was to be stamped on. If it looked good, I used it. If you want to try #simplestamping, and you're not too far from South Morang, Victoria, maybe we could arrange a quick class? Or if you'd like to buy some product & live in Australia, I'd be happy to support your crafting as your Stampin' Up! demonstrator. Shop here. Don't forget to check the Clearance Rack for retired bargains.

The card with the Grapefruit Grove is a step-it-up card, for the casual to avid stamper. They craft regularly, either alone or in company. The casual crafter may have started a collection of favourite stamp sets, and punches. The avid crafter, well...she likes to have it all, the Big Shot, the Stamparatus, embossing folders, dies and so on! You can see that card has the same basic design as the #simplestamping version, with the addition of a Swirls and Curls TIEF to add that pattern to the background card. It was sponged with ink to age it, just maybe it suggests to me a dust-laden wind.
I have to share the verse too, as it suggests Australia at the moment, in the middle of a dry, hot summer.

Nothing's better than the
wind at your back, the sun
on your face, and your
family by your side.

If you are an avid stamper, the offer I am promoting at present might interest you. It's a fabulous way for you to invest in tools and supplies at a greatly reduced price. $315 in catalogue retail, ALL your own choice, and you pay $169 total. No shipping on the first order, after that it is 5% shipping and 20% discount on your supplies. $80 bonus spend until March 31st, would you like to find out more?
I have more information if you click on this link, and of course, we can talk as well.

Option 2 includes the Tote bag for an extra $41, and demonstrators who were able to order one before the allotted number was depleted (including me) were happy to pay $87. Bargain! Even if you have been a demo and dropped, you still can join again. If it is less than 3 months, talk to your previous upline or Demo support, otherwise, you can join my happy bunch of FUNdamentals.

If you prefer to remain a customer, you can add the Host Code to your order and receive a gift from me.

Lemons Make Lemonade

When I'd been playing with Coffee Cafè a while back, it occurred to me that I could use Lemon Zest as well and try some 'Step-It-Up' cards. Those are cards which start fairly basically, and progress with a little more added each time.

The basic card in this case began with Blueberry Bushel as the base, and Lemon-Lime Twist for the middle layer. The glass, straw and ice (from Coffee Cafè) mixed with lemons (stamped and punched) and a sentiment from Lemon Zest. I drew stripes on that straw, and in the next version it was die cut from striped paper.

Version 2 is a similar card, stepped up with a glass die cut from vellum, a little hessian ribbon and some clear droplet embellishments.

Version 3 has a second layer from Tropical Chic DSP, and a few punched leaves. A tab is placed behind the ribbons, and it includes the vellum die cut glass and droplet embellishments.

You can shop for paper, stamps or ink at any time with me, by using the Online Shop. Add the host code, and there'll be extras in the mail when I get back. Order more than $100 using the Host code and you'll go into the draw for  one of these exclusive shopping bags.
