Case-ing The Cover CTC#271 Week 1

This week, at CASE-ing The Catty we are CASE-ing the cover of the NEW Catalogue!

The excitement is building, have you received a copy yet! If you are waiting on me to get one to you, you might need to send me a reminder. Oooops! June 3rd is the big day, and I'm waiting excitedly to order some new products.

In the meantime I've CASE-d the cover using Rooted In Nature. My first card has been based on the bottom card on the cover and I just changed the position of the tag and twine. I really like this card, and will no doubt try to replicate it with different colours or stamps in the future.

With the second card, I've used the top left card as inspiration and a rather interesting colour palette of Terracotta Tile, Mango Melody and Mint Macaron. Don't forget to draw inspiration from anywhere in the catalogue and just work with what you have on hand.

Love these dies for the fancy rectangles! Stitched So Sweetly dies also have 4 lovely shaped labels as well as 6 rectangles and are bundled with So Sentimental stamp set, for a 10% discount. You can check them out at the end after my sign off.

With this card I just let loose with random stamping using the stamps from the first card and then one of those great big, bold sentiments from rooted in nature. I think I have someone in mind to send this to, she'll love these bright colours!

We share our projects to inspire you to create and send cards. It would be wonderful if you CASE-d the cover of the new Catalogue and shared your card or other project on our Facebook page.

I'm very interested to see Siobhan's project this week, it's bound to be a beauty!

I'd love you to choose my online shop to purchase from, use the Host Code when asked at check out, & I will send you a gift, along with a handmade card. It's extra hard at the moment to run an online business so any help you give by ordering is greatly appreciated. The items listed below were used in my project above, and link to that item in my online shop.

Feels Like Frost CTC#246

Welcome back to another week of CASE-ing The Catty. The crew is made up of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all parts of Australia and New Zealand. You are at the blog of Rachel Palmieri, Independent Stampin' Up!® demonstrator. I run classes at my home studio in South Morang, Victoria, share Stampin' Up!® products and tools at parties for my customers, create Craft By Post classes, coach my lovely team and create cards and the occasional 3D project. This week we are CASE-ing Feels Like Frost DSP, using the layouts on page 40 for inspiration.

After noticing there were a lot of subtle background images on the paper I heat embossed two different leaf images onto the watercolour paper and used Shimmer White heat emboss powder. I chose to use Balmy Blue to watercolour the back ground, mainly because I have the reinker for that colour, but not for others in the  Feels Like Frost colour range.

I tried to create a darker area toward the centre of the card, but of course a lot of that has been covered by the label. Most of the cards in the picture above feature central labels, some quite ornate. So with a fancy label cut from Glimmer paper, a shiny silver ribbon, along with the Shimmer White leaves, this birthday card sparkles all the way.

The recipient for this card is reluctantly turning 70, but she definitely loves a bit of sparkle!!! Hopefully this will tickle her fancy.

There is always so much inspiration in these catalogues, I'm sure that is why CASE-ing the Catty is so successful! Now it's your turn to show what you can do with a little catalogue inspiration. Add your work at our Facebook challenge here.

Next you are hopping over to the very talented Peta Stephen, and her cat Marvi, who is always up to mischief.
