CASE-ing The Catty #5 Baby

Oh, who doesn't love a new baby? I love to make things for babies, and I'm sure you do as well.

We had a new addition to our family in May and I was asked to make some wall art for his room. Of course, I had to pull out my stamps and Zoo Babies was the ideal stamp set, as these new parents are "Friends of the Zoo" and have also travelled to Borneo to see Orangutans and other animals in their natural environment.
I have shared these before, but I thought I would again, just to demonstrate what you can do with your stamp sets. These are just two of the three, before they were placed in the frames.

Stampin' Up! make a Coaster Board, which is thinner than chipboard, but sturdier than card, so I used it to die cut numbers for the pictures, and sponged colour onto them. The animals are also stamped onto Coaster Board and handcut. I used a variety of different Stampin' Up! stamps to put together the 'scenery'.

Now, onto my CASE of the Catty for this challenge.

I decided the card on page 78 was perfect, but I would give Zoo Babies a rest this time. However, I did use the Lullaby Designer Series Paper and the same layout.
The stamp set is Baby We've Grown, it was first seen in the Occasions Catalogue and it was good to see it appear in the annual catalogue too. I have used this soft bunny for many cards. The outline lends itself to a little water colouring, which softens the appearance even more.

Next, I got so excited by this simple little design, I almost began a production line!!!

I continued with the Lullaby DSP and used Something For Baby, for the stamped and/or die cut images. Something To Say has the two-part sentiment ' a little something cute.... for your cute little someone!'
I could have kept on and on (except I probably have more than enough baby cards now). Naturally, there is no reason why you can't change things up again, and make birthday cards, or wedding or even sympathy cards.

What are you going to share with us this week at CASE-ing The Catty?

I do hope you enjoy my post, and get inspired to CASE the Catty too!

Cheers...
Rachel

How Project Life Fits My Life

Screen Shot 2014-06-10 at 9.04.44 AM

My scrapbooking has fallen a bit behind lately, so I am looking at Project Life with great interest. I have bought a packet of pages and slotted some photos in, using some Everyday Adventure Project Life Card Collection and Everyday Adventure Project Life Accessory Pack. That set suited my days away in Melbourne at the South Pacific Stampin' Up! Convention and we were given the accessory pack at Convention too. We had a blast there! It was at the end of May and the weather was warm and summery, most unseasonal for the end of autumn in the southern part of Australia, but very welcome.

Last Friday, I held my Catalogue Launch where I displayed the pages I have almost completed. (They're so hard to photograph in the plastic sleeves, I could do with some tips, if anyone has some for me!! There are a couple from Convention and another two 12" by 12" and 1 x 6" by 8" of my latest grandson. I used pieces of the Lullaby Designer Series Paper. The patterns are very subtle, not particularly baby-ish and Pistachio Pudding is my daughter-in-laws favourite colour. I used recently retired ABC-123 Sketch Alphabet & Numbers to stamp his name onto banners. Sweet Baby and the soft, little bunny are from Baby We've Grown. I'm so glad that stamp set made it into the new catalogue, we really have a great range of stamps for babies (and weddings too), in addition to the always great range of birthday stamp sets.
I am now ready to order Playground Project Life Card Collection and Little Moments Project Life Card Collection, because a lot of my photos are of my grandchildren, who are all young, under 6 years.

Reminder
If you want to place an order, and do so anytime between 1st-10th July, each $50 order will earn you a small gift from me. I have set up a hostess code, beginning July 1st and if you order through my online store and use the Hostess code, 2PDEG76K ,you will be eligible for any hostess benefits this 'party' earns. Only do this if your order is less than $300, once you reach that amount you are eligible for $50 of hostess benefits all for yourself! When you have finished shopping and 'view shopping bag' it will take you to a summary of your order. Down at the bottom left is a box for the Hostess Code, which groups all the orders together, just like a virtual party.
If you view this online, you will see a link (just over there on the right side of the page) which takes you to the new catalogue online.

Hope you're finding time to get inky!
