CTC#407 - CASE SALE-A-Bration

CASE-ing The Catty Crew are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from Australia & New Zealand who take inspiration weekly from the catalogues. The catalogues are a fantastic resource, and we love to inspire you to seek inspiration there too.

It's a two-for-one this week because SALE-A-Bration is nearly over and you just have to share in the fun. Both cards use different papers from the free SAB pack of DSP - Dainty Flowers.

With this card I couldn't resist adding extra circles to show off more of the patterned paper, which deviated somewhat from the card I was CASE-ing.

Beautifully Happy is another SAB pick you can add to your $90 order, and I've made really good use of this lovely stamp set over the last couple of months. This was the first time I used a colour as dark as Rich Razzleberry for the flowers though, and I preferred it stamped off.

The image on a circle was inspired from the cards in the catalogue, above.

For this CASE I have cut the Dainty Flowers DSP in the same way as the card shared just inside the cover (page2) of the SAB catty.

Honeybee Home has some dies to cut leafy pieces, and I'm sure you own something that would work just as well too.

Colour Creations - Week #28 - Melon Mambo

 

The participants in AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators and members of Art With Heart. We love to Blog Hop sharing all the Stampin' Up! Colours. This week we are sharing Melon Mambo.

After finishing classes using Brightest Beauty, I wanted to use the background stamp and the 'happy retirement' sentiment. Some Melon Mambo ink was blended onto the background and drops of water added to lift the colour in places.

Honeybee Home has a lovely array of flowers in the stamp set, so it was just a matter of stamping some out and deciding on the colour blends to use. I hadn't used it very much of late, and it's great to go back to annual catalogue offerings.

CTC#372 - CASE All Occasions Pages 12-45

All Occasions is a huge segment of the catalogue, so there is endless inspiration to pick from here. My choice was a simple daffodil card on page 20. I liked the 3 strips of paper behind, and for my not-so-confident stampers, a perfect card without colouring. They don't always seem to enjoy that!

The Polished Pink card was the one I began with. Hand Penned Petal's larger bloom was stamped in Smokey Slate before die cutting. One of the Stitched Rectangles was used to cut strips for both cards, using Abstract Beauty DSP.

'Thank You For Inspiring Me' comes from Blessings of Home. 

Once the Fine Sparkle Adhesive-backed Gems were added, the card seemed to come alive.

Not colouring the image had been difficult! After stamping the smaller blossom from Blessings Of Home, it was a pleasure to colour it with Stampin' Blends.

The sentiment and bee were additions from Honeybee Home.

Honeybee Home

Before I had my own Honeybee Home stamp and dies, I had a try of my friend's to see if I liked it. Our other friend was making a scrapbook using Fresh Freesia card, so I stamped this sweet sentiment onto a scrap of that.

There are some adorable bees in this stamp set and I die cut quite a few, so there was one for the inside too.

Lastly, it was simple to choose colours to match the label, and the black & white paper sets it off nicely. Long story short - I LOVED this stamp and dies, and have purchased my own bundle!
