Favourite In Color?

What a crazy time we are living in at the moment! Although my family are all well, I'm feeling anxious for my daughter-in-law, who is a nurse at a regional hospital. My retirement dinner for Saturday night has been postponed and we have to cancel our Mediterranean cruise and train trip around Italy. As you know, there have been terrible scenes in stores as shoppers argue over the diminishing supplies, and shortages of the staples. Thankfully, we can still order our Stampin' Up! supplies, and I also like to indulge in a bit of fabric buying online.

SAB 2020 Thoughtful Blooms #152290 Golden Honey specialty designer series paper #152311- add one for free to your $90 order, or buy $180 worth, and choose them both

As SALE-A-Bration draws to an end, (31st March) I always do a stocktake of my basic consumable supplies. By that I mean card, ink and adhesives. There are two reasons, one is that if I have an order that qualifies for a SALE-a-Bration product, I'm happy to add to my collection, because even if I have everything I want, these products come in handy as prizes for customers, and raffles at markets.

The second reason is that in no time, Stampin' Up! will be announcing that a new annual catalogue is coming. It will actually not go live until June 3rd, but the moment they make the announcement, they will sell out of the 2019-2020 In Color collection. The colours are lovely bright primary shades, and I will not be surprised if we see some of these return at a later date. Lovely Lipstick and Blueberry Bushel are my personal favourites - do you like those or one of the other 3 colours better?

None of these products ever get reduced, but still sell out quicker than you'd expect.
I have made sure that I have ink refills, enough card to go with the designer series paper I have in those colours plus I needed new Lovely Lipstick Stampin' Blends, because I've used that colour so much. I will have links at the end to all the retiring In Colour products.

These colours will be current for another year, and there will be 5 new ones - I wonder what they will be?

Happy Birthday To You #152308 is another free pick for your $90 order. The font for the sentiments is perfect for heat embossing in white onto a darker colour.

It's worth checking how much Whisper White card you have on hand at this time. The regular Whisper White is best for stamped images, the thick is better if you are making a card base, or colouring with Stampin' Blends as they 'bleed' through the card. Also, do you have enough Dimensionals, Snail and Tombow Multi-purpose glue. It doesn't go "off" as far as I know, and we might be in isolation for a while.

I've had to set up a new Host Code, as the other one disappeared??? When you use the Host code, it groups all the orders together as if it were a party. That means that I can share samples with you, my customers. If your order is higher than $250, you will earn Host Dollars yourself (10% of your total before shipping) and should add your choice of products or exclusive hostess stamps to your order. Ask me for help if you have difficulty understanding.

January Re-cap

It takes no time at all for these months to fly by does it? It doesn't help a great deal that in Australia, it is summer holidays through January, and routines are out the window. My husband has been back at work since New Year, but starts a week-long holiday tomorrow evening. We are going away to two different coastal locations - first to Phillip Island with a son and his family, and then to Lorne for 3 nights, courtesy of my husband's employer.

I've accomplished plenty with a spring clean of my wardrobe, a big tidy of my craft room, trips to the charity shop and appointments made. There are plenty of ticks on my "to do" list. On Wednesday afternoon I held my first craft session for the year and the ladies had a ball, playing with the foam brayers and three colours of ink.

Gina made the version with Hibiscus, using Timeless Tropical and Carmela chose Little Ladybug. Quite different results from the same background, and they were so pleased with their cards.

After they left, and before I washed the brayer sponges, I decided to colour the other side of the Golden Honey SDSP, with those three same colours. You'll see that where the colours overlap, they make a new shade, which is so pretty, just like a rainbow!

That 10cm by 30cm strip made these three cards, and I'm going to add them to my stash for #imbringingbirthdaysback. I used the Bonanza Buddies 'Happy Birthday' sentiment, and 'Thinking of you' is from Little Ladybug.

This round tag was in my leftovers box on my desk and was a perfect fit for the small sentiment.

These little flowers are so easy to stamp in different colours and punch out with the Small Bloom Punch. There is a note in the SAB catalogue that this punch may be available in the Annual catalogue, which made me decide it was worth getting now, as no doubt there will be a different stamp set it matches.

Painted Poppies Craft By Post - closing 5pm Feb 5th

The tutorial for 10 cards is available if you choose to order Painted Poppies #151599 $40 through my online shop, or choose one of the three other options at various price points to get the tutorial and materials to make all 10 cards.

Craft Sessions
I'd love you to join me next month for a crafting session. We will make a card with the poppy paper, another with Dressed to Impress and a third with dry embossing and a little stamping. I need time to prepare for a class, so let me know by 20th February. Send me an email, or text me your name and which session you'd like to join.  (0417 500 681) The craft sessions are held in my craft space in South Morang, Victoria.
