Favourite Retiring Stamp CTC#228

Welcome back to another week of CASE-ing The Catty. The crew is made up of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all parts of Australia and New Zealand. You are at the blog of Rachel Palmieri, Independent Stampin' Up!® demonstrator. I run classes at my home studio in South Morang, Victoria, share Stampin' Up!® products and tools at parties for my customers, coach my lovely team and create cards and the occasional 3D project. This week we showcase our favourite retiring stamp set. My pick is All That You Are.

When All That You Are didn't carry over, I was more than a little surprised. When it was released, I was happy that the flowers could be die cut with the flower from Frosted Bouquet Framelits, it's always nice when dies or punches suit more than one stamp.

Also, it's another big, beautiful blossom stamp for colouring, and I'm totally into colouring with Blends at the moment.

The 'happy birthday' sentiment included with this set is a nice compact one that fits inside the 2nd stitched circle. There are another two nice sentiments in the box too. For the lovely leafy strip I've used the Wonderful Floral Dies, which match Wonderful Romance, another super stamp, also about to retire. I'll pop it in the product list at the end too, in case you want to check it out before it leaves us.

And just for fun, I've CASEd ......ME! This Bermuda Bay card was made during SALE-A-Bration 2018, and it was a nice sketch, so I used it again.

If you'd like to join us and share your CASE on our Facebook page, you'll find the link in the graphic.

Next talented design team member is the lovely Monique Fielder, I wonder which is her favourite?

AWH Colour Creations Merry Merlot

While finishing off Christmas cards this week, I found time to create with Merry Merlot for the Art With Heart Colour Creations blog hop. This was made so much easier by focusing on using the perfectly co-ordinated papers and embellishments supplied by Stampin' Up! You can check out what other Art With Heart team members have made by clicking back to Catherine at What Cathy Made.

It was impossible to resist the Joyous Noel SDSP in the Holiday Catalogue, and many of you must have agreed, as the supplies were exhausted well before the end of the catalogue finishing date.*It appears to be back in stock 18/12/18. Every sheet of this paper was beautiful, and I have based the majority of my Christmas cards on this paper and a simple sentiment this year.

First Frost  stamp set and Frosted Bouquet Framelits dies are bundled together for a 10% saving for the life of this catalogue and they are carrying over for at least a little while after, but not with the bundle offer, so if you've been thinking about getting these you need to order before January 2nd. Although this is a relatively simple card, you do need to own a Big Shot to cut the label and frame, and the fancy copper sprig at the bottom. The other foliage is punched with the Sprig Punch (#148012 HC) and the Leaf Punch (#144667 AC) so if you haven't invested in a Big Shot yet, you could still replicate this card using the Everyday Label Punch (#144668 AC) for the sentiment.

The Merry Merlot & Copper ribbon was irresistable too, it is different on the other side, but this time I chose to highlight the copper side to tie the whole project together. All my cards have been posted now, how are you doing with yours?

CTC208 CASE Your Favourite Bundle

Welcome back to another week of CASE-ing The Catty. The crew is made up of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all parts of Australia and New Zealand. You are at the blog of Rachel Palmieri, Independent Stampin' Up!® demonstrator. I run classes at my home studio in South Morang, Victoria, share Stampin' Up!® products and tools at parties for my customers, coach my lovely team and create cards and the occasional 3D project. This week the design team are focusing on their favourite bundle from the Holiday catalogue.

My favourite by a mile has to be First Frost, and I've used it over and over again. This card is a CASE of the Tranquil Tide card on page 36, but hopefully you too will see why this bundle is a 'hands down' winner. I CASE-d the stamping of leaves on the background, something I often forget to do, but it adds another layer to the art piece. My choice was to add some chicken wire element instead of ribbon. This embelishment is retiring at the end of the Holiday catalogue, which is a shame as it is very effective and so easy to use. It is silver foil one side and white the other, so it can be coloured to suit.

Once I changed the orientation of the card, the label needed to move to the left I felt, but it's always a good starting point, to check out the catalogue for some inspiration. You can use a colour scheme or a layout, and end up making it your own. Until January 2nd, you can buy First Frost bundled with its framelits, Frosted Bouquet Framelits dies at a 10% discount off the total price of the stamps and dies. It will still be available to purchase, but not with the bundle saving.

I couldn't resist adding some chicken wire to the inside, it cuts easily with scissors.

If you've been itching to share your CASE of a Holiday Bundle, you can share it at our Facebook page here.

Holiday Catalogue Cover CTC201

Welcome back to another week of CASE-ing The Catty. The crew is made up of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all parts of Australia and New Zealand. You are at the blog of Rachel Palmieri, Independent Stampin' Up!® demonstrator. I run classes at my home studio in South Morang, Victoria, share Stampin' Up!® products and tools at parties for my customers, coach my lovely team and create cards and the occasional 3D project. This week the design team are focusing on the front and back cover of the Holiday catalogue. That sounds a bit restricting, but I'm sure you'll find lots of variety in the design team projects. I went to the back cover and borrowed the design of the brown tag, expanding it into a birthday card for a very dear friend.

You can probably see that I replicated the elements of the tag: the foliage, the circle in the centre. Frosted Bouquet Framelits Dies cut the foliage in silver foil paper and Sparkle Glimmer Paper, and the retired Large Numbers, were a 'must', also in Sparkle Glimmer paper.

My friend loves hot pink, in the Stampin' Up!® colours that equates to Melon Mambo. Although her birthday was last Friday, unfortunately her party is the day after I head off to the States for a Stampin' Up!® Convention (after some touristy things). She tells me there are hot pink balloons for the tables - I'm sure they'll look fabulous!

I've used the Subtle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on both pieces of card, I love the way it roughs up the finish on the paper.

I've just received Happiness Surrounds, a photopolymer stamp set only available while stock lasts in November. I thought the sentiments were very thoughtful, and in a pleasing font. Order #149744 $30 for 14 stamps, after November 1st. There are flowers in Happiness Surrounds too, hopefully I'll get to make something else this week!!!

We'd love to see your project CASE-ing the Front of back cover of the Holiday catalogue. Please share on our Facebook page.
