Party Animal CTC #110

After a short break, CASE-ing The Catty is back!!! There is the Occasions AND a SALE-A-Bration catalogue to discover together - I do hope you have your copy in your hot, little hands, but if not, you'd best let your demonstrator know that you NEED one now! This week we are CASE-ing pages 4-7 of the Occasions catlaogue, Party Animal. Did you see what Tricia made? If you haven't, it's okay, you'll go around in a circle until you're back at the starting point.

When you're a family of 17, there's always a birthday around the corner. My d-i-l has already celebrated for this year and soon it's her eldest son, but not before another of my grandsons turns 7 the week before. This card is for 'Mr Almost-9' and I do hope he's happy with it. I'm actually considering adding his name, stamped, below the sentiment - just to personalise it a bit more. It is called Balloon Adventures and has a couple of bold greetings as well as some slightly smaller ones.I used the 'ink to rubber' technique to create a two-colour sentiment, which does tend to be softer in colouring. Basically, you colour the rubber with Stampin' Write markers in the chosen colours, 'huff' on it, then stamp.

These tags were the starting point for my inspiration, and I tried to amalgamate the two on the right into one card. The Balloon Builder Punch is an asset when it comes to punching out those balloon bases and if you have that already, you might think it unneccessary to invest in the Balloon Pop-Up Thinlets. You can manage without it but the pop-up insert is very dramatic. I've already used it for Mr Almost-9's brother already though, so it will get a rest for this card. I did utilise the spotted and striped decoration for the balloons. If you purchase the Balloon Adventures Bundle #144708 at $90.75 plus shipping, you will qualify for one FREE Sale-A-Bration item.

Now you should head over to see what loveliness Krissy has created this time...

We are starting the new year with a new format and we hope you will love it! Every Sunday at 7pm (AEST), we will be sharing a new section of the current Stampin' Up! catalogues to CASE.
The CTC Crew will start off with a blog hop and then you have all week to create and join in. Make sure you put your photo in the challenge album by 7pm Saturday to be included. There is no requirement to be a demonstrator or have a blog to join in.
The weekly challenge with links to the album will be pinned to the top of the page.

If you'd like to participate in our Facebook challenge this week, here is the link  to view the challenge and attach your entry.

Cookie-Cutter Tags CTC#107

It's Sunday night, welcome back to CASE-ing The Catty Blog Hop. I expect you already know that the idea of a bloghop is to go from blog to blog, seeing what each crafter has made with the challenge. Please make sure you do a full circuit so you miss out on nothing. You may have come from the lovely Julia, or started here with me, Rachel Palmieri, welcome. We have been challenged to choose our favourite punch from the Holiday Catalogue, and the Cookie-Cutter Punch is easily my fave and much used. Maybe it's yours too, but if not, I know my team mates have picked different ones for you to check out. And...if you'd like to share yours, there is a link at the end for you to link your blog.
Teeny Tiny Sentiments provided the nice little Merry Christmas sentiment, while Go Ahead, tear it open is from Tin Of Tags. I used the second largest Stitched Oval Framelit to cut a piece of Warmth & Cheer designer series paperstack, one of those neat little 6" by 6" packs of paper. I'd have liked to have stitched the red tag top onto the Crumb Cake but time was running out, so I stapled. I understand there are still some staplers left in stock, and luckily they come with a lot of staples, because they won't be available much longer. The staples should be available at good stationers or office supplies though.

Finally I'm making some headway with my Christmas preparations, so with the grandkids presents purchased, they need to be wrapped before anyone discovers them! The littlest guy spends Friday's with me and he has discovered gifts hidden in the wardrobe already, so I know I need to be careful with him, and another three are here on the weekend so I really do need to get these gifts wrapped and stowed. My delivery from Stampin' Up! arrived Friday morning so I set my helper to work making the wrapping paper, and while he slept in the afternoon the gifts were wrapped.

I used a new die that you will be able to purchase in January to make the top of the tags. Balloon Pop-up Thinlets pairs nicely with Balloon Adventures and because I attended Onstage in Brisbane, I was able to order my set extra-early. If you want it NOW, and you live in Australia, you could consider joining my team too. Demonstrators, even hobby demonstrators can order from the Occasions catalogue from December 1st AND earn SALE-A-Bration rewards at the same time. There is information on my blog under 'Join Stampin' Up!®' which will answer many questions for you, or get in touch if you want to talk about this opportunity.

Next you're heading over to Kathryn in South Australia

If you have a something to share with us at CASE-ing The Catty, this is the link to use.

Cheers, Rachel
