Darling Label Punch Box

This gorgeous metal box is something different from Stampin' Up!®. It contains two ink spots (Night of Navy & Grapefruit Grove) 6 photopolymer stamps, an acrylic block and the punch. It set me to thinking, "What else would you need to start your stamping journey?"  

I spent a pleasant hour putting together a set of six cards.

Mainly, I've used paper from the 2018-2020 InColor range, along with Flirty Flamingo, which WAS an InColor and is now a part of the Brights family. Grapefruit Grove, the included ink spot is one of the new In Colours, and the other, Night of Navy goes with everything.

 Notecards and envelopes are available in a pack of 20, for $11.25 in Whisper White (#131527) or Very Vanilla (#144236). I used 6 of the Whisper White for this project. I've punched balloons with our Balloon Builder Punch, and labels with Eastern Medallions, Stitched Labels and Stitched Shapes Thinlits

The only stamps used are the ones included in the kit, and of course you also get the punch to punch them out with.

All the cards and papers are cut to size and the other pieces are diecut or punched for you. Included are 6 notecards and 6 envelopes, White card for stamping, 1 sheet of adhesive Dimensionals to raise the labels and 3 pieces of ribbon.

You need to provide glue (Tombow multi purpose Glue or snail adhesive) for attaching the card and paper, and scissors for cutting the ribbon.

Birthdays Begin With B part 2

The next birthday is only 5 days later, D-I-L #3. This family have a very cute 3 year old boy and a slightly older small white dog, called Ruby. I had spruiked this card for a class in May that didn't go ahead, but it was fairly easy to take it from a partially completed piece of work to the coloured version.

Bella and Friends is the name of this delightful stamp set, and its been in 2, or maybe even 3 catalogues already. It pairs up beautifully with another stamp called Pretty Kitty, which I shared in a similar card back here.The reason these stamps are ideal for this style of card is the multiple smaller images and a number of sentiments you can spread across the spaces.

I repeated the 'Happy Birthday, gorgeous' from Beautiful You, on the outside, 'cos these girls are all my favourites!!! There is minimal colouring on the puppy, just some shading in grey and her red collar. I used the Balloon Builder Punch and glued the smaller one of the pair over the top of the stamped image.

You can imagine the fun when this card opens up and twists and pops. I wasn't sure if it was going to survive the afternoon with the young fellow working it pretty hard. I think his mum put it away safely before he wrecked it.

Menagerie of Balloons

Balloon Builders was a cute little stamp set brought out a couple of years ago when they introduced the Balloon Builder Punch and isn't that a totally handy tool? I guess this stamp set has now run its course, as it is on the retiring list. It is still available in my online shop -$28.00 (as I write this) and I want to share some cards made using this set.

For these I CASE-d the catalogue, used the colours in the DSP (designer series paper) for my colour choices, and incorporated a retired stamp set for the verse inside and 'Baby' on the front. To me, the 'bear' needed eyes, so there are dots in the appropriate place.

This 'mouse' is celebrating a birthday, but it's hard to see if she's having a good time or not. You know every time you stamp these critters they turn out quite differently from the one before?

Another 'mouse' and balloons, but with longer 'arms' and this one isn't one of the 3 blind mice, she has her eyes, and nose on what is going on. I glimmered things up a bit with Wink of Stella clear too. When you look on Pinterest, you'll see endless possibilities for this stamp set - rabbits, dogs, lions, flowers - you name it. I've hardly explored the possibilities.

What about a big bunch of blue balloons? Nice, quick & easy.

Party Animal CTC #110

 

After a short break, CASE-ing The Catty is back!!! There is the Occasions AND a SALE-A-Bration catalogue to discover together - I do hope you have your copy in your hot, little hands, but if not, you'd best let your demonstrator know that you NEED one now! This week we are CASE-ing pages 4-7 of the Occasions catlaogue, Party Animal. Did you see what Tricia made? If you haven't, it's okay, you'll go around in a circle until you're back at the starting point.

When you're a family of 17, there's always a birthday around the corner. My d-i-l has already celebrated for this year and soon it's her eldest son, but not before another of my grandsons turns 7 the week before. This card is for 'Mr Almost-9' and I do hope he's happy with it. I'm actually considering adding his name, stamped, below the sentiment - just to personalise it a bit more. It is called Balloon Adventures and has a couple of bold greetings as well as some slightly smaller ones.I used the 'ink to rubber' technique to create a two-colour sentiment, which does tend to be softer in colouring. Basically, you colour the rubber with Stampin' Write markers in the chosen colours, 'huff' on it, then stamp.
 

These tags were the starting point for my inspiration, and I tried to amalgamate the two on the right into one card. The Balloon Builder Punch is an asset when it comes to punching out those balloon bases and if you have that already, you might think it unneccessary to invest in the Balloon Pop-Up Thinlets. You can manage without it but the pop-up insert is very dramatic. I've already used it for Mr Almost-9's brother already though, so it will get a rest for this card.
