Great news from Stampin' Up!® & November/December Classes

New Product

Finally we have the Stitched Shape Framelits Item #145372 -  $50. The set contains 12 dies, four circles, four squares, four ovals. I've been wanting these for ages, and the good news is - they'll be in the next Annual Catalogue too. Perfect for sentiments and stamped images, they add a lovely finish to your die cut shapes. Check out the YouTube video to see more.

Classes

The November Class is 7pm Friday 18th November and you can book in by emailing me or texting.(0417 500 681)They are held in my home at South Morang, Victoria. 
We will be able to accommodate more people in class this month, it's bonus month, you'll be getting two Stampin' Up!® demonstrators and if needed we will set up two tables for each project.

Project one is the Double -Z card which you can make as a special Christmas, birthday or the new baby version in the picture. It would be great if you have an idea of what you'd like to do, but we will have materials available to choose from if you're not sure.
Project two is a teacup (in card, stamped or embossed). This project could be perfect for the hand-crafted gift filled with something nice for a friend or work colleague. Because these are larger projects there will only be two items but the cost remains the same at $20 this month. All products and tools supplied for these classes, plus a recipe.

December, there is a class scheduled for Friday 9th December, 7pm and the same class will also be held at 2pm on Saturday 10th December. You can make two quick and easy Christmas cards for $15, or continue on in the 3 hours allowed for the class and make each additional card for $2 each. You could walk out with 12 cards for $35 if you wish.

Don't forget to let me know if you intend coming to these classes, or even if you're thinking about it, so I can make sure to prepare the materials required (I might have to cut and fold a large number of cards for some of you speedy ladies).

CASE-ing Christmas - CTC82

Are you enjoying the new Stampin' Up!® catalogue? Have you ordered yet? I'm guilty on both counts and with all the lovely projects being shared I'm having to use a lot of self-control to hold off ordering yet again! This week at CASE-ing The Catty we are CASE-ing the Christmas section, pages 26 - 37. 

I decided to CASE the green card with another
Christmas card in Cherry Cobbler, and the centre card with the sentiment inside the partial circle with a fun birthday card.

 Everything for this card has had to be substituted, although I could have used Crushed Cucumber card. The Textured Impressions Embossing folder is Lucky Stars #135817, but  Sparkle #141468 would also work very well. The designers used some new Foil Acetate #141653 on page 175 of the catalogue which I probably wouldn't have noticed it if I wasn't CASE-ing the card and trying to find products. Instead, a banner cut from patterned vellum has filled the gap. Although I do have the Oh What Fun! stamp set, for some reason I couldn't find it when I wanted to. Christmas Messages is another retired stamp set I've kept, and it came in handy today. One of the Lots Of Labels Framelits provided a tag for the sentiment.

The birthday card features Affectionately Yours SDSP . I really like all the papers in this suite, and have happily cut into all the sheets. Watermelon Wonder was cut with the retired Starburst Framelits, which are still available on the clearance rack in my Online Store for $27.57. Might be worth adding them on to your order of new catty products. After embossing the larger flower with copper embossing powder onto Blushing Bride card, it is quite easy to hand-cut with snips. I've wound the new copper metallic thread six times around the top of the card and tied. If you are planning to shop with me, the current Hostess code is ZGGAABEE

An Assortment Of Gift Tags - CTC50

It's Sunday, our new night for sharing,so here we are again on a CASE-ing The Catty Blog Hop. You may have arrived from Monique's blog, but if this is your starting point, make sure you click on the links at the end of each blog, to see what the design team came up with . This week we are CASE-ing tags and I used the picture from the catalogue as my inspiration, but as I don't have the stamp and framelits which feature here, I've improvised (and had a lot of fun doing it too!)

I had a Stampin' Up!® order arrive this week and there were three new stamp sets in there for me: Be The Star, Jingle All The Way and Snow Place. Even though Be The Star isn't a Christmas stamp, I've used it with black stars for a tag.

I hadn't planned to buy Snow Place, until I found out how much my little grand daughter loves penguins, and she likes stamping with Grandma too! She's so cute, even when she's asking me at 7 a.m. if she can do stamping now. I had a bit of fun dressing the penguins differently. I've tried to copy some of the techniques the designers for Stampin' Up!® have used, like stamping in the negative space of a die cut and raising featured parts. There's watercoloured backgrounds and an assortment of stamped silver star backgrounds too. You can make tags as fancy or plain as you like, and you certainly don't need lots of supplies to do it.



All the tags are cut 5cm wide by 10cm long. I used two different Tag Topper punches to shape the tops, and the new silver cord is perfect to tie through the top, or bakers twine does a great job too. First Christmas Card - CTC 47 - Let's Kit Together

Welcome to this week's CASE-ing The Catty Blog Hop. After a few weeks away, I'm back to play along  as we look at pages 4 -7 in the Holiday catalogue, where the super-dooper kits are featured. You may have arrived here from Stasia's blog, but if not, just keep on hopping through all the links until you have gone full circle.

Even though I was supposed to be relaxing on holiday,  I had my order all sorted and was able to just press the button to send it a week before we came home, so I wasn't surprised when there was a lovely box of goodies waiting here for me, but my sons think I might have a problem!!!
SHHHhhhh......I'm a Stampin' Up!® addict!!!!!

In my order was the Oh What Fun Tag Project Kit and the matching photopolymer stamp set, Oh What Fun. It seemed it might just be great fun to 'take it up a notch' and turn the tags into cards.

This first card uses a striped tag and a plain white one from the kit, the silver star is also part of the kit and I changed up the sentiment to another from the stamp set which worked better on a card. In addition, I've cut an extra banner of Crushed Cucumber, stamped the card base with a holly stamp, also from the Oh What Fun stamp set, and scattered some rhinestones around. Quick and easy, my first Christmas card for the year!
(I've realised it is actually the second, as I made the Navy Christmas tree one earlier)


The second card has a Smokey Slate base card, and for some added texture it has been embossed with Elegant Dots Textured Embossing Folder. The other non-kit piece is a banner cut with the largest of the Banners Framelits from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper. The striped tag, the white tag, the red Glimmer Paper banner and red twine are all from the Oh What Fun Tag Project Kit. Don't you love this stamp? It's from the Oh What Fun stamp set too, and I inked it up with Real Red before removing the red from the holly leaves, and inking them with a Crushed Cucumber Stampin' Write Marker®.

For my third card, I decided to change it up a bit and make a birthday card. The tag is from the kit, and the Oh What Fun stamp has been used along with 'It's your birthday' from Endless Birthday Wishes, as is the cake. I added a card base in Mint Macaron plus a layer of Real Red and another slightly smaller piece of Whisper White. The cake has been water coloured using ink in the stamp pad lid, applied with the Aqua painter. Embellishments from the kit include the piece of Mint Macaron lace, the green & white twine, sequins, and the two silver flowers were punched from a scrap of silver foil paper left over from the snowflake on the first card. Waste not, want not! The rhinestones, an absolute paper craft essential, have come from my stash.

I hope this has helped you to see the potential of any of these Stampin' Up!® stamp kits, you can use them as intended, but if you don't use up all the supplies, there are plenty of other things you can do with them.
