AWH Colour Creations #40 Powder Pink

You are at the blog of Rachel Palmieri, an independent Stampin' Up! demonstrator based in South Morang, and outer north-eastern part of Melbourne. Thank you for stopping to see my work. I love to stamp (and other crafts too) and have loved being a part of Stampin' Up! for 8 years now. I hold classes in my home studio, demo at parties, coach my team and love life!!! Art With Heart is one of the larger teams in Australia, and it is a great community to be a member of. I'm happy to talk to you about any aspect of the company if you'd like to chat. But now for the business at hand - a colour challenge!

This blog was initiated by Catherine Proctor, a valued member of our Stampin' Up! family, as a way to share the colours in the range, both the old ones and new. Powder Pink is a lovely soft shade. If you would like to check out what the rest of the team have made using Powder Pink, click back on Catherine's link, at What Cathy Made.  Just to let you know, Powder Pink is an In Color which is due to retire at the start of June, but supplies will run out soon after everyone realises it is going.

I was demonstrating the effect you get when you ink up an embossing folder - using the narrow Petal Pair TIE folder on a strip of Whisper White. As you can see, especially in this soft pink, it is feminine, lacy & lovely. Then I needed to dream up a beautiful way to use these strips of embossed card and came up with this card.
Most of the supplies for this card are in the Annual catalogue, except for the  Myths & Magic Glimmer Paper which is currently in the Clearance Rack at the bargain price of $10.40 for 24 - 6" X 6" squares.

The stitched oval is perfect for this simple flower from Love What You Do. Beautiful You supplied the sentiment which has been stamped in Powder Pink and then Black on a piece from the Stitched Labels Framelits. Have you noticed that there is stitching on everything now?
Don't forget to go back to check out the other projects made with Powder Pink.

Yellow Roses

I've just arrived back from Stampin' Up!® Onstage, held in the Big Top at Luna Park, Sydney. It was lots of fun, and in a few days I will be able to tell you a little more. Recently I made a stack of cards using Petal Palette and this particular card just might be a favourite. It shows you the roses coloured with Stampin' Blends and in my opinion, they look great without total coverage.

Of course, there is nothing to stop you completely colouring them, but nature tends to be slightly imperfect doesn't it? This label stamp and sentiment are from Rose Wonder stamp & die set.

Petals & More Thinlets match the Petal Palette stamps, and there is the lovely, lacy  piece as well as the piece to cut the trio of roses. The card front has been half texture-embossed using one of the Petal Pair TIEF. The sympathetic verse is from Flourishing Phrases.

The sympathetic verse is from Flourishing Phrases, and it also has a similar 'With Sympathy' using a slightly different font.Petal Palette is in the NEW Annual catalogue but you will only get the 10% discount while it is bundled finishing May 31st. You can order the stamp & die bundle using the following codes

wood #145973
clear  #145974
