CTC #360 CASE A Masking Project

The CASE-ing The Catty Crew are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from Australia & New Zealand who take inspiration weekly from the catalogues. The catalogues are a fantastic resource and we love to inspire you to seek inspiration there too.

Masking can be done in a few different ways. You can use purchased masks such as the ones shown in the picture above, you can die cut and make your own and you can mask images with paper to give dimension to the piece you are working on. You can use ink, pastels or paste for dimension.

I've used one of the Stampin' Up! masks from Basic Patterns (#150697) in the Annual catalogue, to imitate the background of the left-hand card above.A blending brush loaded with ink was blended into linen. The linen paper is 12" x 12", self-adhesive and can be found on page 136 of the Annual catalogue.

I loved the way the ink spread slightly giving a soft, blurred look.
Since I was CASE-ing that card, I've used flowers and a label toward the right.

We love having you join in our challenges. Ask to join our Facebook group, and then add a picture of your CASE, and let us know which card or project you've CASE-d. No blog required, no special qualifications.

CTC#331 CASE Mini Catalogue

The CASE-ing The Catty Crew are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from Australia & New Zealand who take inspiration weekly from the catalogues. The catalogues are a fantastic resource and we love to inspire you to seek inspiration there too.

We have a wide-open challenge for you this week - CASE the mini catalogue.

I selected this image from page 56 of the catalogue, and CASE-d the bottom card. The designers used Harvest Meadow paper, since it is the Nature's Harvest bundle they are sharing on the page.

Since I didn't have the DSP, I used Timeworn Type embossing folder, on Soft Succulent and then sponged white ink on to highlight the raised text. My chosen stamp set is Quiet Meadow on page 110 of the larger Stampin' Up! Annual catalogue,

Shabby chic is not my usual style, but as well as the basic card layout, I also CASEd the shabby chic look with torn edges and curled corners.

The inside of the card is my clean, layered style (that's the normal way I craft) but I have used the splatter stamp included in the Quiet Meadow to tie in with the card front.

Wouldn't you like to join in this weeks challenge to CASE the mini catalogue? just create and add your project to our Facebook page...

Next crew member to visit will be Peta Stephen

When your order reaches $90 you can pick a Level 1 freebie, and $180 earns you one Level 2 or two level 1.

Maybe you are wanting to stock up on crafting goodies? There has never been a better time than now. Select $235 worth of Stampin' Up! products from either catalogue and pay only $169, including shipping, catalogues and business supplies. Then you get to add a bundle which you choose yourself too and add to your starter kit.
With the most expensive bundle being worth $104.25, you are potentially able to order $339.25 worth of products and still pay $169 total.
I would love to have you in my team, most of the crew would consider themselves "shoppers with a discount" (discount starts at 20%) but you can take this business further if you wish. We have a private Facebook page where we share what we are making and get to know each other a little better. Even if you have been in my team (or someone else's) before and have dropped, there is still room for you now. Reach out if you want to know more and check this page for some more questions answered.
