Colour Creations Blog Hop - Week 17 - Cherry Cobbler

Contributors to this blog hop are all members of Claire Daly's Art With Heart group. We love chatting, crafting and getting together in person.

I'm sure we will see lots of wonderful projects shared by the team this week featuring Cherry Cobbler. I began my Christmas crafting at the weekend playing with Rocking Horse, not really intending to create for this Colour Creations Blog, but sometimes cards take on a life of their own!!!

You will find the Rocking Horse bundle in the latest Stampin' Up! mini catalogue, going live for customers on September 6th. It appealed to me since it is a little different to the usual offerings for Christmas. The rocking horse is a pleasure to colour, being a reasonably large image.

A plaid background seemed ideal, so I used this one from Let's Go Fishing DSP. I think the colour is rather nice with Cherry Cobbler.

There are a number of sentiment stamps included in Rocking Horse, I've used one on the front and two more on the inside.

Next participant in the blog hop is Rachel Woollard

Colour Creations - Week #9 - Pecan Pie

Contributors to this blog hop are all members of Claire Daly's Art With Heart group. We love chatting, crafting and getting together in person. This week we are show-casing a new colour to the Stampin' Up! core colour range - Pecan Pie

Shades of brown are often associated with nature and masculine cards. I took my cue from the Let's Go Fishing 12" X 12" paper, still at 15% off until June 30th. It includes Misty Moonlight as another of its colours, which I really love. Actually, blue and brown seem like a very comfortable match!

The card was made using a favourite Z-Fold card which allows a good display of patterned paper. I continued using the Gone Fishing bundle to make a Father's Day card.

Counryside Corners dies are perfect for creating labels, and inners for cards. They are varying sizes and can be layered up as much or as little as you wish.

I'm not really sure what the 'fishing bits' are for apart from the hooks, but felt sure they should be silver.

Our next talented team member this hop is Christina Barnes

CTC #421 Case All Occasions

CASE-ing The Catty Crew are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from Australia & New Zealand who take inspiration weekly from the catalogues. The catalogues are a fantastic resource, and we love to inspire you to seek inspiration there too.

The Let's Go Fishing DSP has some non-fishy paper in the pack which was perfect as a background.

Blending brushes and ink pads in Mossy Meadow, Wild Wheat and Copper Clay were built up gradually until it was the intensity I wanted.

Using the same tags, from Something Fancy, I simplified the placement. My colours were bolder as this card is for a man.

Spraying water onto the blending created some nice textured patterns, and I decided it was worth stamping with the same tiny flower stamp from Two-tone Flora, as in the original.

We love for you to share your projects using the challenges. We do request that the projects you submit have been created especially for this challenge. You can CASE directly or be inspired by a sketch/layout, colour combo or embellishment. Ask to join our Facebook group, and then add a picture of your CASE letting us know which card or project you've CASE-d.

The amazing Michelle Strazds follows with her CASE.
