Leafy Loveliness CTC#258

Welcome back to another week of CASE-ing The Catty. The crew is made up of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all parts of Australia and New Zealand. You are at the blog of Rachel Palmieri, Independent Stampin' Up!® demonstrator. I run classes at my home studio in South Morang, Victoria, share Stampin' Up!® products and tools at parties for my customers, create Craft By Post classes, coach my lovely team and create cards and the occasional 3D project.

This week we are CASE-ing the Wrapped In Plaid suite from page 12-17. I've really enjoyed the Wrapped in Plaid suite and CASE-d many of my Christmas cards from here, so I decided to go in a different direction. On page 15 Peaceful Boughs is featured, with a lovely leafy version on the left, and a little less-decorated version in the picture to the right.

Today was the day I loved and chopped my Garden Lane DSP, and it hasn't disappointed. #loveitchopit This is the 2 sides of the one sheet of paper, both equally lovely, I'm sure you'll agree. Several different leafy dies were used to cut leaves in 3 different colours and arrange underneath the label. Colorful Seasons has a couple of large greetings and this one is a favourite of mine. It could be for a wedding, graduation or birthday I think.

The second card has a more-patterned paper, so I've only used 2 leaves from Tropical Chic and an embellishment. The layout has been inspired by the red card, and changed around.

The next design team member on this hop is  the amazing Sandra Collett

There is always so much inspiration in these catalogues, I'm sure that is why CASE-ing the Catty is so successful! Now it's your turn to show what you can do with a little catalogue inspiration. Add your work at our Facebook challenge here.

Many Happy Tomorrows CTC#242

Welcome back to another week of CASE-ing The Catty. The crew is made up of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all parts of Australia and New Zealand. You are at the blog of Rachel Palmieri, Independent Stampin' Up!® demonstrator. I run classes at my home studio in South Morang, Victoria, share Stampin' Up!® products and tools at parties for my customers, coach my lovely team and create cards and the occasional 3D project. This week we are CASE-ing Woven Threads colours, and layouts from pages 12-14.

Last week I covered a notebook using this paper, but still decided it was the perfect way to go again for this challenge. After all, what easier way to use the colours of Woven Threads DSP, than by using the paper? The inspiration for both my card and box originated from 3 of these boxes, each wrapped in a different strip of DSP, stacked and tied with a variety of ribbons and trims.

Still channelling the patchworker within, we have strips on the card, repeated (not quite the same order) on the box. I haven't been as lavish with the various ribbons, but the mini Braided Linen Trim suits the washed-out hues of Woven Threads DSP.

Colorful Seasons stamps & Seasonal Layers dies were still on my table from my mid-week project for Colour INKspirations so I used flowers and a large sentiment from this combo, along with a label and sentiment from Parcels & Petals for the box.

Seaside Spray may be a little too light to use as an ink for stamping sentiments perhaps. More braided linen trim made it onto the inside of the card above a strip of DSP.

Now you are heading to my friend (and sometime travel-buddy) Tina in South Australia. Her card in a single colour is a beauty!

We would love you to CASE from pages 12-14 and share it here on our Facebook page,

Thinking Of You CI#61

Colour INKspiration is a fortnightly blog initiated by Bronwyn Eastley in Tasmania. The design team is made up of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all parts of Australia and New Zealand. You are at the blog of Rachel Palmieri, Independent Stampin' Up!® demonstrator. I run classes at my home studio in South Morang, Victoria, share Stampin' Up!® products and tools at parties for my customers, coach my lovely team and create cards and the occasional 3D project.

Colorful Seasons was the stamp set which jumped out at me for this challenge and in particular the co-ordinating dies, Seasonal Layers. It is a versatile set because there are leaves, blossoms, branches, snowflakes, sunchairs etc. The soothing colours suggested a sympathy/get well type card, and there is a suitable sentiment included in the stamp set.

It's hard to say if I like the stamped leaf or the die cut one best, they both have delicate details. Anyway, I ended up using both, while still trying to retain a clean, layered look.

There is a big doubled-up bow of linen thread, the lovely, neutral ribbon from the Magnolia Suite and 3 small coloured pearls to embellish this card.

The inside is mainly unadorned apart from two stamped leaves and layered with colour behind the white to give it a lift.

Perhaps these colours inspire you to create too, and if so, please add your creation to our Facebook Challenge page here.
