This is the very last week of the current round of Colour Creations Blog Hop. Our colour is Soft Suede, another shade which is retiring at the end of the current catalogue. I have rather liked this softer shade of brown, but with all the earthy tones in the new In Colors I'm sure we will get by just fine.
Most people agonise over creating the perfect masculine card, but I think the answer often can be found in patterned paper. This is the Ready To Ride 12" x 12" specialty designer series paper, found on page 69 of the mini catalogue.
The background colour of this piece is Soft Suede also the colour we are using for Colour Creations Blog Hop this week.
One of the sheets of paper included in Ready to Ride is motorbikes, a whole lot of different motorbikes. If you were knowledgeable about the recipients favoured model, you might even be able to match it. I have absolutely no idea about bikes (or cars for that matter!)
A little bit of cut & paste from two different stamp sets provided the perfect sentiment. Charming Sentiments has some very useful sentiments for many occasions, while Party Puffins had a bold 'birthday' to match the other words.
Next talented team member to share is the wonderful Kathryn Ruddick.
Your card is marvellous, perfect for a male. Your Franken-sentiment is perfect!
ReplyDeleteWith your gorgeous tribe of men, Rachel, I cannot believe you have absolutely no idea about bikes or cars - I know so much about surfing, sport and craft beer just from the osmosis of my boys, LOL! One thing is for sure - you certainly know how to make a masculine card and this one is a beauty!
ReplyDeleteFantastic masculine card Rachel. Great use of this DSP and great idea to combine two greetings, works perfectly with the theme of this card
