Minimal Mauve CTS#172

I'm trying to rearrange my shelves to make way for new stamps but it's too hard, because there are too many retiring sets I'm not ready to say goodbye to yet. Like so many of you out there, I am also easily distracted, so this afternoon, I quickly put together this lovely lilac creation. The sketch by Leigh Penner at Case This Sketch provided the starting point for my creation.

This folder, and its pal in the same packet - Floral Affection Textured Impressions Embossing Folders - are positively 'must-haves'. The impression they leave is definite and strong, it really needs no other adornment. I used a sheet of DSP from the Have A Cuppa DSPS which will retire on May 31st as it's an Occasions Catalogue item. All the DSP from the Annual Catalogue retires on this day too, and while we have some gorgeous papers to replace them, you may like to check if you NEED any before they leave.

The new Layering Squares Framelits are proving to be useful, I love the way the have just the right margin around the outside. Gold and silver metallic thread is staying on and will be joined by Copper and black, so that should be very handy.

The weekend is about to begin, I am off to have a haircut tomorrow, and in amongst shopping and laundry, I hope to get some more crafting happening too. What are your plans?

Cheers, Rachel
