Colour Creations - Week #39 - Pool Party

The participants in AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators and members of Art With Heart. We love to Blog Hop sharing all the Stampin' Up! Colours alphabetically. This is week #39 and the lovely Pool Party is our chosen colour.

This birthday card developed from an idea to stretch the Brushed Metallic SDSP a little further. I cut a length 10cm wide and used Picture This Dies to cut 'windows'. The card is a longer one, to fit in a business envelope.

The windows allow space to decorate, with Decorative Borders and Awesome Owls providing the focal point, and Hand Drawn Dots and sentiments from Friends Are Like Seashells as the supporting act.

It's always nice to add a little something to the inside too.

I'm sure that Caroline has shared a wonderful project too so let's keep hopping.

Happy Birthday Beautiful Friend

After a big stamping session with Decorative Borders, I had a number of pieces to make cards with. I also had many pieces left over from other crafting sessions, including this inked, embossed piece of background card.

My colours were now decided, based on what was on the card, and I coloured the Decorative Border piece with Stampin' Blends before fussy-cutting.

Now it was just a matter of finishing off the inside with a couple more stamped images, and it was on its way to wish a lovely friend a happy birthday. If you have any questions about this project, or something else stamping-related, leave a message in the comments and I'll get back to you.

Wedding Celebration

There was a request for a wedding card from one of my customers this month, so I used two upcoming stamp sets to create a wedding bower over the sentiment. Using Decorative Borders, 2 of the same image were stamped, coloured with Stampin' Blends and fussy cut.

 The sentiment from another new stamp set, Something Fancy, was stamped prior to putting the card front through the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder, and some splattering with a Stampin' Marker added to the rustic effect.

Both these stamp sets will be available to order either through me, or your Stampin' Up! demonstrator from 5th January.

Colour Creations #33 - Old Olive

The participants in AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators and members of Art With Heart. We love to Blog Hop sharing all the Stampin' Up! Colours alphabetically. This is week #33 and our colour is Old Olive, a perfect shade for foliage!

It seemed like a great opportunity to try out some new products coming in the next Stampin' Up! mini catalogue.

 Something Fancy has this longer verse in it, which will probably get too much use. There are a total of 10 sentiments in that particular stamp set, really versatile for adding a little something extra to your handmade cards.

It's so relaxing to sit with some stamped images and colour with Stampin' Blends and Decorative Borders is a great stamp set to do this with. All you need is a swoosh here, and a dab over there!

Colour Creations #32 - Night of Navy

This week I've stretched myself and tried something outside my comfort zone! There's way more gold on this card than I would normally use, but perhaps it is okay.

Fitting Florets was the main bundle used here, but I do really like Brightest Beauty (retiring soon) background stamp and added a border from the new Decorative Borders, available January 5th, 2023.
