CTC #416

CASE-ing The Catty Crew are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from Australia & New Zealand who take inspiration weekly from the catalogues. The catalogues are a fantastic resource, and we love to inspire you to seek inspiration there too.

I'm sharing a CASE of Queen Bee which is sort of leaving. My understanding is the dies will not be available, and the stamps will be in the online store for a while.

A change of orientation for my card, but I kept the idea of the catalogue sample using 3 similar shades in the background.

Tearing the ends of the strips probably wouldn't have occurred to me if I hadn't noticed it in the sample. I couldn't resist adding some of the pretty die cut flowers and used up some pastel pearls in the centres.

Just look at the bee wearing a flower!

There was a bit more time to spend in the craft room this week, so I CASEd a second card from the same page.

Nature's Prints is in the new annual catalogue and that was the wreath I used. I've actually misplaced the half-wreath from Queen Bee. I'm sure it will turn up where I least expect it!

I was attempting shabby chic for this card after noticing the roughed up edges in the catalogue. The mauve colour scheme continued over to this card also.

I hope you are inspired to try CASE-ing too!

We love for you to share your projects using the challenges. We do request that the projects you submit have been created especially for this challenge. You can CASE directly or be inspired by a sketch/layout, colour combo or embellishment. Ask to join our Facebook group, and then add a picture of your CASE.

So many products have been used on this card because there were so many bits and pieces left over on my desk, and I have a tendency to want to use them. You can no longer order the designer series paper, as it was a special promotion leading up to the beginning of the new mini catalogue, but everything else is still available.

Colour Creations Week 10 - Blushing Bride

The participants in Colour Creations are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators and members of Art With Heart. We love to Blog Hop sharing all the Stampin' Up! Colours. This is week ten of this round of Colour Creations Blog Hop, and the colour is Blushing Bride.

Just like last week, I've used the Split Card Textures dies, as a die cut though, not a mask. This set of dies definitely is a favourite of mine!

Experimenting with Nature's Prints in this softer colour, totally surprised me how different it looked. Sometimes a change of colour is worth trying for a different look.

Colour Creations - Week 7 - Basic Gray

The participants in Colour Creations are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators and members of Art With Heart from all over Australia. We love to Blog Hop sharing all the Stampin' Up! Colours. This is week six of Colour Creations Blog Hop, and the colour featured this week is Basic Gray. From now on, we will working our way alphabetically through the colours with Bermuda Bay coming next week.

Basic Gray is available in the following products:
  • Basic Gray A4 Cardstock
  • Basic Gray Classic Stampin Pad and Refill
  • Basic Gray Stampin’ Blends Combo
  • Neutrals Assorted A4 Cardstock and 12x12 Cardstock
  • Neutrals Designer Series Paper 6x6”
  • Watercolour Pencils
  • Heart & Home Memories & More Card Pack
  • Heart & Home 12" x 12" (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Designer Series Paper.
  • The Happy Forest Friends 12" x 12" (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Designer Series Paper
  • Kindness Cards Kit.
  • Christmas Whimsy card kit

Basic Gray is a slightly challenging colour and I was determined not to turn to a masculine card for this round, although Nature's Prints in another colour choice could easily suit a male. Polished Pink and Parakeet Party contrast vibrantly against the Basic Gray.

The fern embossing folder is part of the Sun Prints Suite, (p90-91) with lovely texture. Embellishments include the In Color opal rounds, a piece of Polished Pink ribbon. and some frayed White Frayed Ribbon.

Next you'll head to the awesome Cathy Proctor

Colour Creations Week 1 Orchid Oasis

The participants in Colour Creations are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators and members of Art With Heart. We love to Blog Hop sharing all the Stampin' Up! Colours. This is week one of this round of Colour Creations Blog Hop, and we are creating with Orchid Oasis.

Orchid Oasis is my favourite of this years In Colors, so I was pretty keen to try it out. Using Nature's Prints a couple of different leaves were stamped along the left side. An Orchid Oasis Stampin' Write marker was used to draw lines, freehand to support the sentiment.

There are some beautiful images in the Nature's Prints set, and I added a flower to the inside.

Even though the In Color colours for 2021-2023 aren't a direct match, the Fresh Freesia ones look pretty here.

This week you are hopping from one Rachel to another. Let's see what the talented Rachel Woollard has made.
