Colour Creations Blog Hop - Lemon Lime Twist - Week 30

Contributors to this blog hop are all members of Claire Daly's Art With Heart group. We love chatting, crafting and getting together in person.

Lemon- Lime Twist, a returning In Color is our colour of the week for week 30. We are very spoiled for choice when it comes to green shades at the moment, and this is one of three 'sharp, acidic' greens.

With a self-challenge to use a neglected set of stamps or dies, I turned to Quiet Meadow. As well as some lovely, stamped images, including text backgrounds, it has wonderful die cut foliage and butterflies.

Granny Apple Green is another of the acidic greens which provides a pleasant contrast to the brighter Lemon- Lime Twist, used here to provide some dimension to the sprigs.

Lemon-Lime ribbon is one part of a duo of ribbon, released with the Zoo Crew suite.

Something Fancy is a stamp set of sentiments only, very useful to have on the shelf.

It's a shame I haven't been able to capture the detail on the butterflies, but you can see the edging on the Basic Border die, one of 6 in that set.

Next we are heading to the blog of my friend Rachel Woollard. I'm sure you'll love her project.

If at any time you find a broken link or would like to see a full list of participants, please head to the blog of our host of the AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop, Catherine Proctor.

Happy crafting,

CTC #421 Case All Occasions

CASE-ing The Catty Crew are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from Australia & New Zealand who take inspiration weekly from the catalogues. The catalogues are a fantastic resource, and we love to inspire you to seek inspiration there too.

The Let's Go Fishing DSP has some non-fishy paper in the pack which was perfect as a background.

Blending brushes and ink pads in Mossy Meadow, Wild Wheat and Copper Clay were built up gradually until it was the intensity I wanted.

Using the same tags, from Something Fancy, I simplified the placement. My colours were bolder as this card is for a man.

Spraying water onto the blending created some nice textured patterns, and I decided it was worth stamping with the same tiny flower stamp from Two-tone Flora, as in the original.

We love for you to share your projects using the challenges. We do request that the projects you submit have been created especially for this challenge. You can CASE directly or be inspired by a sketch/layout, colour combo or embellishment. Ask to join our Facebook group, and then add a picture of your CASE letting us know which card or project you've CASE-d.

The amazing Michelle Strazds follows with her CASE.

Your orders are very much appreciated, no matter how small or big, every little bit helps me to meet my minimums, and keep on creating. Hopefully you are inspired by some of the projects I share and want to make your own. My online shop is open anytime and delivery by tracked Australia Post takes 5-10 days.

Colour Creations Blog Hop _ Week#1 - Boho Blue

Each week members of the Art With Heart team participate in the Colour Creations Blog Hop to bring you creative inspiration showcasing gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order. We begin this week, week #1 of the new catalogue, with Boho Blue.

Blue is my favourite colour, and Boho Blue makes me so happy! Unfortunately, the light was a bit weird this week and my photos don't do the colour justice. Hopefully you will see other examples which represent BB much better.

The Fern 3D embossing folder gave the second matt texture behind the three strips of Countryside Inn DSP. Flowers from Two-Tone Flora were stamped in Boho Blue and Azure Afternoon, the leaves in Night of Navy.

The Boho Blue ribbon seemed a little wide for my card and was easy enough to cut down the middle. This simple birthday sentiment from Something Fancy is one of my 'go to' stamps.

The fabulous Andrea Sargent follows me this week.

Colour Creations - Week #46 - Smoky Slate

The participants in AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators and members of Art With Heart. We love to Blog Hop sharing all the Stampin' Up! Colours alphabetically. This is week #46 and Smoky Slate is our colour.

Smoky Slate features quite prominently in Abigail Rose DSP
This co-ordinates with Cottage Rose, also in the Annual catalogue and still bundled at 10% saving if you were wanting the stamps & the dies. I felt it would be too predictable to use Cottage Rose this time, and I do like the flowers in Greatest Journey just as much.

The DSP I chose first seemed to fade away when I added the white square with flowers, so another piece more strongly shaded was added around the middle and tied with Garden Green twine from the Greatest Journey Suite. You can see these products on page 58-59 of the mini catalogue.

Die cut flowers were added inside without any colouring.

It's always nice to have a plain, straight forward 'Happy birthday' sentiment, good for guys or gals, and Something Fancy fills the bill.

A bonus card using Smoky Slate as the base and pieces from Timeless Greetings Kit (see online shop).

It's hard to believe that we have nearly reached the end of our colours, with only a few weeks to go until the new Annual catalogue is in our eager hands! I hope you check in next week to see what the team have made with So Saffron.

Next talented team member to share is Catherine Proctor so let's see how she has used Smoky Slate!

If at any time you find a broken link or would like to see a full list of participants, please head to the blog of our host of the AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop, Catherine Proctor.

Polished Pink, Pale Papaya, Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent & Fresh Freesia are about to retire as In Colors.

I wonder what will replace them?

CTC #408 CASE Mini Catalogue Bundles

This week I received a new suite of products from Stampin' Up! and I could hardly wait to play with these gorgeous papers - Hello Irresistable DSP.  The suite consists of Irresistable Blooms stamps & Dies, the Hello Irresistable DSP and some cute little gems, Loose Frosted Dots. If you want all 4 items you can use the code for the suite instead of ordering each part individually. Available 1st March, online only.

I was so excited in fact that I CASE-d two different bundles!!! This one was the Something Fancy bundle on page 83 at the back of the mini catalogue. Just like the art department at Stampin' Up! did, I've let the pattern paper do the major lifting. However, the Hello Irresistable DSP has paper which you can die cut flowers out of!!!

That advantage meant I was able to add to my project without even inking up stamps from the bundle and isn't that circle just so.... irresistible?

The birthday stamp from Something Fancy still filled that space nicely, and I do seem to need a few of these ‘belated’ birthday cards.

Two different sheets of paper have the flowers, so they come in two shades. There may be even more choices for the leaves.

The other bundle I CASE-d was Queen Bee, using the same bundle with the Hello Irresistable DSP.

The bee was heat embossed onto Petal Pink and all the die cuts were cut from the Hello Irresistable DSP.

When I checked my Flirty Flamingo card, I discovered the strip with a little fancy die cutting. I can't remember which project it came from but it's been added to the inside of this card.

The very talented  Julia Quinn is next on this blog hop.
