CTC#389 CASE AN ANNUAL CATALOGUE BUNDLE

The CASE-ing The Catty Crew are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from Australia & New Zealand who take inspiration weekly from the catalogues. The catalogues are a fantastic resource, and we love to inspire you to seek inspiration there too. Thank you for visiting the blog of Rachel Palmieri in Melbourne, Australia.

The Cheerful Basket bundle is on page 162, and I was tempted to use one of the baskets on my card too but resisted in the end. Must play with it again soon though.

Instead, I've taken the three panels, but used the Scalloped Contour dies to make them a wee bit fancy. The piece I've cut them from was actually in my 'leftovers' pile, do you have one of those? I made a project some time back using white craft ink blended over the Quatrefoil embossing folder.

The Scalloped Contour dies has this lovely big, scalloped border included which I cut in white to back the 3 panels.

Instead of twine around the panels a nest of silver twine gave some lovely sparkle.

The scrap left over was also cut with the scalloped die giving a lovely finish to the inside.

We love having you join in our challenges. Ask to join our Facebook group, and then add a picture of your CASE letting us know which card or project you've CASE-d. No blog required, no special qualifications.

Next crew member to check out is my lovely friend Tina, I'm always inspired by her creations.

Colour Creations Week 3 Starry Sky

The participants in Colour Creations are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators and members of Art With Heart. We love to Blog Hop sharing all the Stampin' Up! Colours. This is week 3 of this round of Colour Creations Blog Hop, and we are creating with Starry Sky.

Turn to page 12-13 of the new Stampin' Up! Annual catalogue and you'll spy the Tea Boutique Suite. Initially, I wasn't going to get this, and yet one week later I ordered the whole suite! This was after realising that it really was super-cute (just look at the stamped and die cut teacups), it shows off the In Colors really well, and those Cards & Envelopes make creating just so easy.

Again, I was very pressed for time this week and turned to these cards to save me time. A little blending behind the cup, a couple of turns of the Cut & Emboss machine and it was almost done.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what Amie has shared this week, along with the rest of the Art With Heart team.

If at any time you find a broken link, please head to the blog of this week’s host of the AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop,
Cathy Proctor, and she will have the list of all participants.

CTC#369 CASE A Blending Brush Technique

The CASE-ing The Catty Crew are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from Australia & New Zealand who take inspiration weekly from the catalogues. The catalogues are a fantastic resource and we love to inspire you to seek inspiration there too. This week we are CASE-ing a Blending Brush Technique.

This technique is Emboss Resist and the addition of blending brushes to our range has made this so much easier to get a fab result.

Beginning with thick basic white card die cut with the Scalloped Contour dies, 2 flower images were stamped from Shaded Summer in Versamark. I'm very happy that this stamp set carried over, AND although I haven't used them here, the dies are back! It might have even been 12 months since they were a special sale-a-bration offering.

Once white embossing powder is added to the Versamark, and heated, it's time to grab the blending brush. I used the same one, although I used 3 colours on this card. Petal Pink was first, then Flirty Flamingo and lastly Calypso Coral.

The DSP had the perfect pastel tones I had in mind, and I was glad not to have to replicate that effect, although it would be possible. Although the trellis pieces and the Waves of the Ocean DSP are retired items now, you may be like me and have some of each left in your stash.

If you should like to challenge yourself, please look through the catalogue and find a project featuring Blending Brushes and CASE away. Mine was from page 18, the card with the BIG greeting. We'd love to see lots of entries, so give it a go, and share at the link.

Next on the hop is the fabulous Julia Quinn.

Colour Creations - Pool Party

The participants in Colour Creations are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators and members of Art With Heart. This is week 36 of Colour Creations Blog Hop, and as we use the colours alphabetically, we are up to Pool Party.

Pool Party is a member of the Subtles group of colours, a soft soothing pale aqua.

The similarity to a sky prompted the use of the new Rainbow of Happiness bundle.

Using the dies, four different rainbows were cut and assembled with the colours in different sequences.

The pieces were laid down roughly, before the adhesive strips were peeled away. A stitched rectangle was positioned to cut a rainbow in opposing corners.

I'd intentionally picked the rectangle which fitted in the Scalloped contour die the best, and it was a perfect size for this card front.

The sunny sentiment was also die cut using a Stitched Rectangle and those little clouds are included in the Rainbow bundle. You can also order a cloud punch to add more to this set of stamps. It is large enough to stamp a sentiment onto, and also punches clouds out of the SAB paper Sunshine & Rainbows. Although I haven't used it here, it will be a useful addition to your punches,

Now it's time to hop on over to my lovely friend Christine

Colour Creations - Petal Pink

The participants in Colour Creations are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators and members of Art With Heart. This is week 35 of Colour Creations Blog Hop, and as we use the colours alphabetically, we are up to Petal Pink.
This colour tones really well with Flirty Flamingo, and I added Pale Papaya and Mango Melody for some added zing. It really is a sweet shade.

Color & Contour is a favourite stamp set, and the Scalloped Contour dies are a 'must-have' for anyone who has a die cut machine. Why not order them together, since it means a saving of 10% off both items.

While seeking inspiration for my card, I did refer to the Stampin' Up! annual catalogue, and way down the back is a picture illustrating the dies, which I pretty much CASEd, with a few tweaks here and there.

It really allows every part of this bundle to shine.

Next we head to the lovely, talented Tina Gillespie
