The participants in Colour Creations are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators and members of Art With Heart. We love to Blog Hop sharing all the Stampin' Up! Colours. This is week 3 of this round of Colour Creations Blog Hop, and we are creating with Starry Sky.
Turn to page 12-13 of the new Stampin' Up! Annual catalogue and you'll spy the Tea Boutique Suite. Initially, I wasn't going to get this, and yet one week later I ordered the whole suite! This was after realising that it really was super-cute (just look at the stamped and die cut teacups), it shows off the In Colors really well, and those Cards & Envelopes make creating just so easy.
Again, I was very pressed for time this week and turned to these cards to save me time. A little blending behind the cup, a couple of turns of the Cut & Emboss machine and it was almost done.
I'm really looking forward to seeing what Amie has shared this week, along with the rest of the Art With Heart team.
Rachel I love the way the flowers on your card mirror the flowers on the envelope. I also love the inclusion of the blending behind your teacup as it really helps to ground it to the card.
ReplyDeleteRachel, those little stamped flowers are such a sweet touch to this beautiful card and I love the way the blending behind the cup really makes it pop.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty card Rachel, I think your card perfectly demonstrates the less is more theory, love it.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty card, Rachel. The softly blended ink background is such a lovely detail. I think all those tiny flowers are delightful, too. Nicely composed card. :)

ReplyDeleteI ordered the suite too and I haven’t opened the cards and envelopes, but you have inspired me to start using them! Those envelopes are just too cute!
ReplyDeleteConsidering you were time poor you have creates a lovely pretty card Rachel. Just goes to show how handy the cards and envelopes are.
ReplyDeleteThe lighter colours of the flowers in your tea cup and the blending brush background are great additions and bring in some softness to your card.
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet card, Rachel. The stamped off flowers are gorgeous and the blending behind the tea cup adds a lovely shade to soften the white.
ReplyDeleteRachel I love the softness of your flowers and background blending resulting in a very pretty card to coordinate with the pretty envelope.
ReplyDeleteLove the blending brush softness to your background Rachel and the sweet flowers on your tea cup! Gorgeous card!
