All Australian Windows

Yesterday I was playing with Pretty Kitty and the Swirly Frames and today I couldn't resist trying for totally Australian windows. Unfortunately, I needed to used retired Bird Banter which I had so-hoped would carry-over, not least because I have bird watchers in my family, but because the budgie and cockatoo are native Australian birds.

Naturally Animal Outing, with its kangaroo. was inked up too, and the sentiment from A Big Thank You, is surrounded by flora, also from Bird Banter.

Do you think I should appeal to the powers that be at Stampin' Up!® to return Bird Banter to the catalogue?

Charming Birds CTC#168

Welcome back to another week of CASE-ing The Catty. The crew is made up of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all parts of Australia and New Zealand. You are at the blog of Rachel Palmieri, Independent Stampin' Up!® demonstrator. I run classes at my home studio in South Morang, Victoria, share Stampin' Up!® products and tools at parties for my customers, coach my lovely team and create cards and the occasional 3D project.

No automatic alt text available.

Pages 22 - 27 are the target for CASE-ing this time, beautiful choices on these pages. I had just finished making a card with Charming Cafe, and decided to CASE the blurry image just above my card and marry it with Bird Banter. I really enjoy mixing stamp sets around, so next I chose a sentiment from Picture Perfect Birthday. You will find all of those in the Occasions Catalogue, which is current until May 31st.

There isn't a whole lot of Petal Garden DSP left in my pack, but if you love this floral paper, you'll find it on page 187 of the Annual Catalogue, either online or available from your Stampin' Up!® demonstrator.

All images were coloured using various shades of Stampin' Blends, the new alcohol markers. So easy to use and pretty colours matching the Stampin' Up!® colours.

Time for you to see what the AMAZING Jackie Noble in New Zealand has created

Now, we want you to CASE the catty, remember pages 22 - 27 of the Occasions, and share here on our Facebook page. Don't forget to share which project you've CASE-d.

Colourful Cockie CI#27

Colour INKspiration has a new colour inspiration for you every fortnight on a Wednesday at 8:00pm. Tonight is that night! The crew is made up of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all parts of Australia and New Zealand. You are at the blog of Rachel Palmieri, Independent Stampin' Up!® demonstrator. I run classes at my home studio in South Morang, Victoria, share Stampin' Up!® products and tools at parties for my customers, coach my lovely team and love to create cards and the occasional 3D project.

This card was such a lot of fun to put together because it reached a bit beyond my comfort zone. I adore these bright colours, but I tend not to layer on the detail as much as this Bird Banter project.

No automatic alt text available.

Birds and flowers come from Bird Banter, the large letters have been stamped on DSP and hand cut. You could, of course use the Large letter dies and just die cut without stamping. They are part of Happy Celebrations, as is 'Birthday to You'. I used a sprig in silver from Petals & More Thinlets - you'll find them with the Petal Palette suite in the Occasions catalogue. The flower on the Pool Party background is from Lots of Lavender, a SALE-A-Bration favourite.

These balloons are part of Bird Banter too, and the colouring has been done with Stampin' Blends.

What will you make using Melon Mambo, Powder Pink, Island Indigo and Pool Party? You can use very similar colours or just add an embellishment or ribbon the right shade. Don't forget to share it on our Facebook page.
Next stop on this hop is our guest on the design team Hiske MacKay

If you are interested in this opportunity, you can join my team any time that's good for you. However, I must point out that NOW is a particularly good time, because you can order $235 worth of any products on your "wish" list, and pay only $169. Shipping is free on this order, and in addition you get to choose 2 extra stamp sets free (up to a value of $174.00) so I'd be picking a couple of those large expensive sentiment sets like Better Together, Happy Celebrations, Flourishing Phrases, Special Celebrations. Call me if you would like my information.

If you'd just like to purchase Bird Banter, you can shop in my online shop anytime of the day or night. Remember to use the Host Code and I share the bonus with you the next month.

Hello Cockie!

This card came about because I was dying to try Bird Banter and the masking technique Courtenay Heuston demonstrated at Onstage Melbourne in November 2017. I arrived home and grabbed scraps to stamp on, made my mask for the cockie from a post-it note and away I went.

I'm thrilled that they included the balloon, because balloons mean birthdays - right? Another free set I came home with from Onstage was Picture Perfect Birthday, which has supplied me with this fab sentiment - and several others too. Another free stamp set I came home with was Magical Day, my Prize Patrol freebie, so I am well set up with card-making supplies for a while.

Want to be part of this?

Onstage is a demonstrator only event that Stampin' Up! offer to their demos every 6 months, at the beginning of April and again early in November. In April the Australian events will be in Sydney (at Luna Park) and Perth, on April 7th. I'm very excited because I get to be a display artist at this event, something I've had as a goal for 12 months, and didn't really think would happen. Stampin' Up! has not only supplied me with enough craft supplies for a lifetime, I have found new like-minded friends, and self-confidence.

Now is a really good time to join my team and I'd love to chat to you about this opportunity, just reach out. You can text, or phone me on 9417 500 681 or email rpalmieri5@bigpond.com if you prefer to communicate this way. It costs you $169.00 and you choose your starter kit to the value of $235.00 plus two extra free stamp sets. Potentially $409.00 value for $169.00.

I am having a team meeting on 16th January at 7pm where a little bit of training and a whole lot of stamping takes place. If you are happy to travel to South Morang and join in (even if you are only thinking about joining you'd be most welcome. No pressure, just the facts!!!

If you prefer to just continue being a customer, that's okay too and you can shop directly with me or online in my store. If you remember to use the Host code, you'll receive a thank you gift from me.

8th Bird-day

The Occasions catalogue has gone live today and inside you'll find Bird Banter. One of the things I love about this set is that the budgie and cockatoo are Australian native animals, and its fun to feature something that is truly everyday Aussie.

I made this card for my grandson, and then decided to use Magical Day instead. Reason for that was, it was actually his dad (my son) who was mad for birds, and so far none of his boys have gone down that path. I wrote a post about the Magical Day card, but I've had a few computer issues the last few weeks and managed to totally lose that post, and the only photos left were the ones I shared on my Facebook page. So sad.

Number Of Years & Large Number Framelits always come in handy for these kids birthdays, and it helps me keep on top of what age they are!!! I purposely skewed the card layers, and repeated it on the inside.

I wasn't concerned about being too realistic with the colours, used the Stampin' Blends and was very happy with the range of colours.

Love the bold greeting inside, it comes with Picture Perfect Birthday. I'm making very good use of the full range of sentiments in that particular stamp set.
