Colour Creations - Blackberry Bliss

Our feature colour this week is Blackberry Bliss, a wonderful, rich, berry shade. I'm sure there will be lots of inspiration shared on this blog hop, so make sure you spend the time checking them out.

Blackberry Bliss contrasts with the soft greens of the succulents, allowing them to be the star. I have a bunch of succulents growing in a silver pail too.

I chose this pair of embossing folders to use for my overseas penpals mail. One is in France, another in Quebec, so 'Bonjour' is placed strategically 'front & centre'.

A little stamping on the inside to finish the card off.

Card 2 was made for my son's recent birthday. Blackberry Bliss was well-suited to this DSP, probably my favourite piece from Beauty Of The Earth Designer Series Paper.

Days To Remember may be meant more for memory keeping,
but I had some fun making cards with it for my June birthdays. Once the stamps are all lined up correctly on the Stamparatus, you might as well make a few.

The tag, which slips in and out of the pocket behind the calendar, has a die cut 'Happy Birthday' from  Birthday Chick dies.

Two days ago I shared a card for my D-I-L using Days To Remember. Pop back to see my feminine Mint Macaron version.

  2. Blackberry Bliss is an ideal colour to use with succulents, and your "Bonjour" card is lovely, Rachel. I love how you've strategically placed that portion of the embossed background, for your French-speaking friends. Clever use of the Days to Remember stamp set on your son's card, too. Both great creations!

  5. I so love your cards Rachel. The contrast between Blackberry Bliss and the succulents is stunning, especially with the touches of BB on the tips of the succulent leaves and the centres. The use of the embossing folders for your pen pals is brilliant. Really love the second card too with the tag for the sentiment. XXX
