CASE-ing SALE-A-Bration CTC #303

This week at CASE-ing The Catty we are CASE-ing the SALE-A-Bration catty. I chose the layout of the butterfly card on page 7, but didn't want to just copy, so looked through the new arrivals for some inspiration.

Initially, 'Hey Birthday Chick' was a bit further down on my wish list, although I do have a grandson who loves chickens. When Stampin' Up! released the dies, my mind was quickly made up.

A lovely young friend was turning 49 in January, and I wanted to share some chickie love with her, so my partly-made layout became the base for my card. It provided the perfect anchor for the greeting and balloon, while the fence did the same for our chicken.

Now my friend likes a party, but she'd NEVER end up like this miss has, with her feet in the air - ha,ha!

Of course, I couldn't resist adding this very appropriate sentiment inside (feeling very jealous of her youth)!!!

The lovely Michelle Strazds is your next stop, and funnily enough, she has used the same paper for a very different result!
