CTC 481 CASE A Sketch

CASE-ing The Catty Crew are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from Australia & New Zealand who take inspiration weekly from the catalogues. The catalogues are a fantastic resource, and we love to inspire you to seek inspiration there too.

A sketch is always a fun way to kick-start your creativity, it will be interesting to see the variations we have this week, and then you might like to add yours on our Facebook page too.

Irresistible Blooms is still available as a bundle in the Online store saving you 10% overall, and you will want the dies as there is a lovely fancy circle and a border piece as well as the flowers and leaves.

The sentiments are a little different with unexpected lower-case letters, and this longer one suited my vision for this sketch.

A second card using the same sketch but a different stamp set, this time Country Flowers Bundle. This one can be viewed on pages 48-51 of the annual catalogue. I used Fun Patterns Embossing Folders on both these cards, the texture adds some interest to the white card stock.

Now it's your turn. We do request that the projects you submit have been created especially for this challenge. You can CASE directly or be inspired by a sketch/layout, colour combo or embellishment. Ask to join our Facebook group, and then add a picture of your CASE.

Next along the hop is the talented Julia Quinn. She has also chosen flowers, but different ones again for a whole new look.

Team Cards

You may remember recently that Stampin' Up! had a GREAT joining offer and I had three lovely ladies join my team. It was hard to resist with all that In Color product added to the starter kit for free.

I made cards to welcome the new team members, and a few thank you cards too for existing team members, to share a way to use the packs of In Color designer series paper. I did actually make a couple in each shade but it looks like Petunia Pop missed the photo session!

I love the way Summer Splash looks here, so fresh. I have kept a special stamp set, long retired, which has the 'Welcome to the team' sentiment. The 'Thank you' is from an online stamp set, Irresistible Blooms.

The design is loosely based on this sketch, page 22 of the latest catalogue.

Don't forget, any orders ($90 minimum) from now to the end of the month will earn you a $9 voucher, sent by email, to spend in August.

Colour Creations - Week #48 - Soft Sea Foam

The participants in AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators and members of Art With Heart. We love to Blog Hop sharing all the Stampin' Up! Colours alphabetically. This is week #48 and Soft Sea Foam is our colour.

It seemed to me like a good idea to team Pretty Peacock (a returning colour) with Soft Sea Foam since I had ink, card and blends still saved from when it was an In Color. Both colours are included in the Hello Irresistible DSP.

The card itself is fairly simple allowing the patterned paper do all the work. The smaller panel has a partial die cut overlay, which had nearly been tossed into recycling when it didn't cut too well.

This solution of trimming it down worked well, adding an extra element of interest.

The Pretty Peacock ink stamped the sentiment, Stampin' Blends were used to colour white ribbon for this card and a tiny glimpse of the card is around the hole in the Tailor Made tag.

Next talented team member to share is the 'other' Rachel, Rachel Woollard

Colour Creations - Week #45 - Shaded Spruce

The participants in AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators and members of Art With Heart. We love to Blog Hop sharing all the Stampin' Up! Colours alphabetically. This is week #45 and Shaded Spruce is our colour.

When I hear "shaded spruce' I immediately think of trees - well you would too I expect. For that reason, I was determined not to use a tree for this week's challenge. Teen boys have been on my radar lately and Conversation Bubbles seems a good one for them. My only complaint is that there is no birthday greeting in that set, so I grabbed one from Irresistible Blooms which fitted the big bubble.

Rays of Light is the big background stamp which I placed on the Stamparatus for easy multiple stamping.

My class ladies are wanting masculine cards, they must have families like mine with men and boys outnumbering the ladies. They all enjoyed making this card at our March Craft & Chat and although there was a feminine version, this was the one they all chose.

On the inside is an offcut from the Rays Of Light panel, the outline of a Conversation Bubble and stamping from Party Puffin.

It's hard to believe that we have nearly reached the end of our colours, with only a few weeks to go until the new Annual catalogue is in our eager hands! I hope you check in next week to see what the team have made with Smoky Slate.

Now it's time to hop over to South Australia and my talented friend Andrea Sargent. Please comment if you liked my project, it's always nice to hear what you think.

If at any time you find a broken link or would like to see a full list of participants, please head to the blog of our host of the AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop, Catherine Proctor.

Polished Pink, Pale Papaya, Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent & Fresh Freesia are about to retire as In Colors.

I wonder what will replace them?

Teen's Birthday

Conversation Bubbles was not on my first order, or even the second but a time came when I was planning cards for my teen grandsons - 2 13-year-olds and a 15-year-old and I really needed something new and fresh.

That is when I saw the possibilities with this stamp and die bundle. I imported 'hooray, it's your day!' from Irresistible Blooms stamp set (you'll find that is an online exclusive). There wasn't a birthday stamp in Conversation Bubbles but the beauty of those frames is that you're sure to be able to use other short sentiments with them as well.

Bold and bright seemed to be in order for my eldest grandson and inside, a little bit of positivity as he always seems to be in trouble one way or another, despite trying so hard.

Irresistible You

Usually after I finish a Facebook Live I just keep on creating. It is difficult to put a card together on the spot in the 20-30 minutes I spend on screen and the ideas often come afterwards.

I kept playing with water colouring on Shimmery White paper in order to get the result I was after. Apparently, it was this!

A card front has some swooshes through the middle plus stamped splatters. Another piece was more thoroughly covered before the flower images were stamped and die cut. The same process was involved for the leaves.

With the sentiment stamped on a large circle and twine and embellishments added, it's a card I'm very happy with.

The inside was fun to decorate too. I have another card using Irresistible Blooms tomorrow night. Enjoy!
