AWH April Blog Hop Retiring Products

Tonight the Art With Heart team are sharing creative projects featuring products from the last chance products list. There are lots of products to choose from with retiring stamp sets, inkpads and ink refills guaranteed to be available until 7 May (and all other products while supplies last). Contact anyone on the blog hop to place your last chance order today.

I've shared some sympathy cards made with images from Remarkable You and sentiments inside and out from Rose Wonder. Both these stamp sets have been in the Annual catalogue for some time, so it shouldn't be a surprise that they are retiring, but I'm sad to see them go.

These  lilies are lovely and only need the smallest hint of colour to lift them. I have grown other lilies like this with much more colour, but to my way of thinking, these suit a bereavement card best.

A little more stamping inside, but no colour added. The sentiment really conveys the message so succinctly. Rose Wonder has some lovely sentiments and bible verses included.

Most likely you've spotted the same verse inside the second card, with an uncoloured magnolia alongside. On the front, they're coloured in traditional magnolia colours, and the leaves are from Remarkable You also. I also used retiring colour Rose Red for this card.

Please continue around our blog hop. Next you'll go to the very talented Tina Gillespie in Adelaide

Weekly Deals - Second Last Week 6th - 12th April

We received word yesterday that the Weekly Deals are coming to an end. Of course that is disappointing news but of late there has been less and less on offer, so it was a huge surprise this morning when I checked to find such a great array of products. You can pop straight over to see them in my Online shop, or read on to the end and I'll add another link. You'll be able to see the prices more clearly there, but I've shared photos of some of my big faves.

The punch is from the Occasions catalogue (still current) and co-ordinates with Grateful Bunch stamp set. I've used it a lot, because the stamp with three flowers matches exactly with the position of the spaces on the punch. If you decide you need both, you'll be better off buying the Bundle and Save combo at 15% off. (Item # 140801)

On this recent card I've stamped the background leaves from Grateful Bunch, heat embossed the group of daisies onto the teapot, and punched out some more to hold the banners. It's a versatile punch too, even without the stamp set as you can punch three sizes of flower, to use as is. Here is another one from earlier this year in mauve, combined with Timeless Textures.
Next, is Remarkable You, a red rubber stamp which is included in the Weekly Deals in both formats. Clear mount for those who like to use clear blocks with their stamps or wood mount for those who like to mount stamps ready for use all the time.  This set is current in the Annual catalogue and has lovely, bold, floral images, great to leave plain or watercolour. There are some magnolias and waterlillies on my work table that I'm still working on using this stamp set, love 'em! This is another using the lily.
Two more of my favourite photopolymer stamp sets listed are Vintage Leaves and Snow Place. You can't go wrong with leaves, and last year I shared this swap card using Vintage Leaves at the November Onstage in Melbourne. This one combined the Vintage Leaves with Gorgeous Grunge.

My 25 year old son used Snow Place to make a very cute birthday card for his girlfriend last year.

I made a few Christmas cards and held a class using Snow Place too.

My grand-daughter is mad for penguins, so this was her birthday card.

Shop here now for weekly deals.

Everyday Occasions Cardmaking KitCheck out this fabulous card kit in the Clearance Rack too. There are clear mount stamps, a couple of little 1 inch square ink pads and 20 cards and envelopes, all for $20.78. Wouldn't it make a great gift for someone who dabbles in craft, a teenager, your mum?

Hey, I do hope you find something you want, and don't forget to use the Hostess Code when you check out.

Remarkable Mum

I lay in bed last night, unable to go to sleep, and so I designed a card. Fortunately, I remembered what I'd decided on this morning, and I just had to make some time in my day to put it together. I'm not sure if I've reached the full quota of greens, my original card would have with its leafy DSP but it took too much away from these dramatic leaves from Remarkable You.

Most weeks I try to get inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches challenge, even if I don't get something made to link, but this week there's plenty of time. Hey! You could get something made too.

Obviously those leaves were going to suit shades of green but I thought all the challenges might be done with green with St Patrick's Day being over for another year. Luckily I found that ColourQ has a few more days left for their gorgeous green challenge.

I have decided this should be the card for me, as I love the garden and outdoor spaces, but I expect there are many others who feel the same. The sentiment is made up of one from Remarkable You and For My Family.

Now , I must get on to prepare for my class tonight,
happy crafting,

Cheers, Rachel

Remarkable Lily RS#193

Feeling a need to distract myself, [life is super-crazy at this time of year] I took to the computer for a quick look through some of the challenges out there. This sketch at RetroSketches inspired me to get inky. It has been quite a while since I've played along here, but their sketches always help unblock things for me when I'm stale, or just too tired to think.

Very, very simple stamping on this card. Remarkable You has some amazing floral images, including this Calla Lily. Cottage Greetings has some lovely sentiments, so 'clean and simple'.
I love the two different fonts.

I wanted a paper with some yellow in it, and Wildflower Fields, the new DSP for Stampin' Up!® Sale-a-bration (beginning January 3rd in Australia) includes Hello Honey. The two banners are also from that pack of Wildflower Fields.

Cheers, Rachel
