CTC#413 Favourite Retiring Project

CASE-ing The Catty Crew are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from Australia & New Zealand who take inspiration weekly from the catalogues. The catalogues are a fantastic resource, and we love to inspire you to seek inspiration there too. As a group, I think we are all in a fluster this week with the announcement of the stamps, dies and colours we are losing. Here we are sharing some favourites we are sad to see leave.

Sunflowers always cheer me up, mainly because they remind me of sunshine and happy holidays. I've used two of my favourite sunflower stamps, Celebrate Sunflowers and the matching Sunflower dies, and Jar of Flowers.

I like the rectangle dies in Desert Details, which are unfortunately leaving us at the end of the month, but if you like them too, you could order them with the huge 60% discount on 4th April.

Misty Moonlight is a returning colour which is included in Harvest Meadow DSP on clearance, at only $8.00 that was a bargain! The Crumb Cake background is from the same pack. This card will be for my group of ladies at a community meet up. As there is already so much going on in this card, I have not added bling.

I've used the wooden bucket and sentiments from Cheerful Basket for the second card, while those flowers are from Jar of Flowers. There are 3 other arrangements of flowers in that set which fit so nicely into various containers.

I CASE-d my card from the green one in the middle (below) and stamped the Shimmery White panel with a long stamp using the Stamparatus to step-stamp.

The bottom left card used a mix-and-match approach for the sentiment, which I've imitated using Garden Green to make it bold.

We love for you to share your projects using the challenges. We do request that the projects you submit have been created especially for this challenge. You can CASE directly or be inspired by a sketch/layout, colour combo or embellishment. Ask to join our Facebook group, and then add a picture of your CASE letting us know which card or project you've CASE-d. I'm sure you have many retiring favourites in both catalogues that you can CASE.

Monique is sharing her favourite retiring item next on this blog hop.

Unofficial CTC#392

I've been having one of those weeks, or maybe it's even a month, but I'm finding it hard to fit all my commitments in!!! I had no hope of fufilling my assignment for CASE-ing the Catty this past weekend. We are a group of Australian & New Zealand Stampin' Up! demonstrators who love to use the catalogues for creative inspiration.

Sketches are a favourite starting point for me. I often study the catalogue for a different design but hadn't noticed this one. I really like the split in the designer series paper, there are so many different ways you could interpret this.

A focal flower was another thing I CASE-d from the original, but not owning the geranium, I opted for Nature's Harvest. This was partially influenced by the Harvest Meadow 12" x 12" DSP going on sale for $8.00 a pack in the Clearance Rack. Such pretty paper at a bargain price.

How do you kick-start your creativity? From a sketch, Pinterest or something else?

Happy crafting!

Craftalongathon With Me

One of the biggest benefits of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is the community we belong too. It is welcoming, inclusive and sharing and we are all encouraged to show these qualities too. On Saturday, Stampin' Up! South Pacific (Australia & New Zealand) held an afternoon of crafting on Facebook for us.

The last workshop for the afternoon was a one-sheet-wonder using one 6" by 6" piece of DSP. I wasn't sure if I would do this one, so only prepped at the very last minute, but it was quite simple to cut, since there are only 4 cards.

This paper from Harvest Meadow DSP is actually 12" by 12" sheets but that is easily sorted. I love this soft Misty Moonlight piece, like chambray denim.

To complete these cards I used a variety of stamps, dies and punches and you will see them all at the end of the post. If you feel you need to add any of these supplies to your craft supplies, you can shop in my online shop any time of the day or night.

Unfortunately I've  embellished with some gorgeous iridescent pearls not realising that they have been retired. Blue adhesive-backed gems would be a good substitute if you were trying to achieve a similar look.

This will be my November class, and we can do 'all occasion' or 'Christmas', whatever your preference.  Four cards for $25, made over 2 ½ hours. To keep the groups smaller and to comply with government regulations, get in touch via 0417 500 681 to book a date for you and a friend or 3. Classes are held in my home studio.

I am Rachel Palmieri, Independent Stampin' Up! demonstrator, in South Morang, Victoria 3752
