Colour Creations Mint Macaron

The participants in Colour Creations are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators and members of Art With Heart. The colour for week 28 is Mint Macaron, a member of the subtle family, and a green which just may have begun my love affair with green!

This card featuring a sunflower was actually my second attempt at sharing Mint Macaron, but it became my favourite of the two, so has become the headline act.

It's great to find an opportunity to use strips, we all have them if we create with card, ink and paper. I may have needed to cut some extra ones for this project though. Have you spied the large Sunflower stamped on the inside?

Apart from Just Jade strips over Mint Macaron base, I've used stamps and dies from Celebrate Sunflowers to make the card.

I really dipped into my scraps to make this card, using all shades of green and greeny-blue here. With the sunflower card, the strips are glued direct to the card front, with Happy hello they're raised on dimensionals.

A couple of diecut leaves, and a butterfly supplied enough decoration.

The Sunny Sentiment was stamped, and a few gems added and we can call it done.

Next talented Art With Heart Team member is the charming Christine Blain

Expressions In Color Alternatives

Expressions In Color Paper Pumpkin has made it's way to the Clearance Rack and you can pick up a box of goodness for $18.50!
There is a LOT in these boxes, including cards and envelopes, a stamp spot, or two in the case of this particular box, and a very useful stamp set. Would this be a good gift for someone on your list? How about holiday crafting?

The vellum flowers and words in this one are a bit special, and this stamp set co-ordinates rather nicely with the Expressions In Ink suite on page 96-97 of the Annual catalogue.

Once I'd made up one of each of the cards according to the instructions, I had a play, mixing and matching with other supplies on hand. The card on the left has been made with Fresh Freesia card stock, a strip of the PP card, the embellishments in the PP pack, some reversed to show the white side and Sunny Sentiments, another stamp from the shelf.
The card on the right has some of the Expressions In Ink SDSP over one of the Bumblebee cards from the Paper Pumpkin kit, and then decorated with twine, ephemera and label from PP.

A Soft Succulent card base for this one, along with some embossed card and a die cut leaf.

Then it was time to bring in the Artistically Inked stamps, and use a Paper Pumpkin base to make the card.I diecut a vellum flower with the Artistic dies for a little extra fun!

Even the stamp set alone is probably worth the $18.50 they're charging for the Paper Pumpkin kit.

Here is one of the vellum flowers, tinted with ink and a blending brush, decorating a gift bag.

These notecards are inside the bag. There are other bargains over on the Clearance Rack, along with the Last Chance Sale, so I recommend taking a look.
