Country Flowers

Again I am sharing another guitar from Country Livin', so that you have an opportunity to order this stamp if it's a must for your stash. After 3rd June 2019, it has officially retired (and it may run out even before that date).

This time it has been paired up with Country Home, which will spend another 12 months in our catalogue, and a gorgeous NEW paper - Perennial Essence. It has Monet-like flowers on one side and these textural backgrounds on the reverse.

It required a large part of my Stampin' Blends collection for this piece, and a scrap strip of black card provided a suitable piece to heat emboss a greeting from Itty Bitty Birthdays in white. Next I'll share the secret to a composition like this, in case you haven't tried masking.

When you need to stamp over another image, you stamp the object which will appear at the front first. Then you stamp an image onto a sticky note and cut closely to the line. Stamp the background images next, before removing the mask to reveal a clean image.

Country Home CI#47

Colour INKspiration is a fortnightly blog initiated by Bronwyn Eastley in Tasmania. The design team is made up of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all parts of Australia and New Zealand. You are at the blog of Rachel Palmieri, Independent Stampin' Up!® demonstrator. I run classes at my home studio in South Morang, Victoria, share Stampin' Up!® products and tools at parties for my customers, coach my lovely team and create cards and the occasional 3D project.

What a FUN challenge! I wouldn't usually add pink to this mix of manly shades, and it was good to  s-t-r-e-t-c-h my creativity. I love the way Blueberry Bushel has given all the crews' creations a real lift.

My style is 'clean and layered' and I have a tendency to forget to use all the pretty ribbons and embellishments I collect. Does anyone else relate to that? Thankfully, Country Home, the stamp set I've used to make this card will be carrying over for at least a few more months.

At least I remembered to emboss a corner of the card with the Tin Tile TIEF, I like using the folders this way, as well as the traditional full piece TIEF, and Tin Tile TIEF is carrying over at least until the end of May. Happiness Blooms enamel dots are in the Occasions catalogue, which will be in your hands very shortly, and available to purchase from 3rd January. They are actually in Night of Navy but hopefully I'll be excused for using a darker blue.

If you have some crafting time and would like to try this colour challenge, please share your creation at our Facebook challenge page. For some additional colour inspiration, pop over and check out what the talented Tanya Bell has crafted.

Country Home For AWH Blog Hop

Tonight the Art with Heart team are sharing creative projects featuring the Holiday Catalogue. We hope our blog hop inspires you to get creative and make some fabulous Christmas creations. If you would like a copy of the Holiday Catalogue, contact any of the girls on the blog hop and we will get in touch with you.

My favourite from the Holiday Catalogue is actually a non-Christmas suite, Country Lane on page 42-43. I like the rustic decor style, and oh wow! what about that Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder? The suite also contains Braided Linen trim, Galvanised clips and beautiful pattern paper Country Lane DSP. The stamp set, Country Home, comprises 14 photopolymer stamps so plenty of options.

Bermuda Bay and Night Of Navy were my main colour choices, and when it came to colouring the flowers, I used every shade of green I had, and the new Cajun Craze. We really do have a wonderful range of colours in the alcohol-based markers, Stampin' Blends, with new additions at each catalogue release.

I inked the embossing folder before rolling it through the Big Shot, which helps to emphasise the delightful tile pattern. The sentiment, which is from First Frost, has been heat embossed in white.

I couldn't resist showing off my beautiful collection of Stampin' Blends, and I love nothing better than relaxing in the evening with a bit of colouring to do.

For something a bit different, I included Apron Of Love for the jug of utensils & rolling pin, and a die cut lid from Jars Of Love is the low vase. Next up is the very talented Monika O'Neill

If you miss someone out or lose your way, you can get back on track here. You are currently at the blog of Rachel Palmieri.

My Country Home

On the 5th September you'll be able to order from the Holiday catalogue. I haven't inked up any Christmas stamps yet but couldn't wait to use this Country Home photopolymer stamp set. There is a jug, milk can and two arrangements of flowers in this stamp set too, and I haven't done it justice by lopping the top off the arrangement of flowers.

I will be giving this stamp another workout, I really enjoyed colouring with the new colours in Stampin' Blends. There are other new goodies here too - a Corrugated Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, slightly thicker, woven twine and the Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series paper is unbelievably beautiful! It has a pearl-like finish, but seems almost like silk. I sat down and chopped it up into card front-sized pieces and now I'm turning those into cards.#loveitchopit
We need to use this paper and get it out into circulation, so others can love it too!

You can shop in my online shop anytime of the day or night, you can email an order and let me know if you want to give me your credit card details, drop by with cash or direct debit into my bank account.
