CTC #390 CASE-ing Colours of Santa's Express

The CASE-ing The Catty Crew are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from Australia & New Zealand who take inspiration weekly from the catalogues. The catalogues are a fantastic resource, and we love to inspire you to seek inspiration there too. You may have landed here from Tina Gillespie in South Australia, and now you are visiting the blog of Rachel Palmieri in Victoria.

This week we are CASE-ing the colours of the Santa's Express DSP, and with the huge range of greens and only two other colours, I was at a loss for quite a while. Evening Evergreen is the closest to black without being black which started me thinking of silhouettes.

A customer had also asked for more ideas for the Peace To You stamp set she'd purchased, so I began experimenting with the colours and blending brushes. The light across the church was a lovely surprise, but the card base was a little plain so I grabbed a stamp from Merriest Moments and randomly stamped. With a white gel pen I've added a three-dot pattern.

Now Merriest Moments is a Christmas bundle, a polar opposite to Peace To You! It has a stamp, dies and embossing folder that you can use with dies to cut and emboss at the same time! I had an embossed frame ready and began to play with foliage to introduce the Mint Macaron and Granny Apple Green. The ribbon was coloured with a Stampin Blend which dries ready to use quickly since its an alcohol marker.

This lovely Christmas stamp set can simply be stamped for a simple image and true Christmas message.
