Colour Creations Showcase is hosted by the amazing Cathy Proctor. Pop over to her blog to see more participants in this showcase for Gray Granite. This lovely warm grey features in the Peony Garden DSP, which is on special at 15% off for October. There are many other papers on special too, you ought to take a look.
Unfortunately there have been a number of bereavements recently, so it was time to replenish my stash. There are two sentiments in Peony Garden which really suit, although I have only featured one of them in this set of cards. "So sorry for your loss" is the other, and it could be stamped inside if you wished.
Petal Pink and Basic Gray are the other colours included in this paper suite, doesn't the Gray Granite Shimmer ribbon look lovely against the Petal Pink? The same formula has been used for all the cards, 10 cm by 14cm of DSP, and a stitched rectangle for the stamped image, a band of card across and the sentiment on a label.
Masculine cards were needed as well, so the Basic Gray DSP was used with the stamped image from Forever Fern.
I'm very pleased with how this little group of cards turned out, and it is so much easier to have them ready before you need one, as its important to get them mailed quickly to give comfort and support.
Don't forget to look at the other blogs by heading back to Cathy.

ReplyDeleteRachel, I so love your beautiful Sympathy cards with the delightful Peony DSP. The stamped Peony within the stitched rectangle and mounted on either the Gray Granite or Petal Pink DSP looks so good. The same layout with the Forever Fern stamp and basic grey DSP also works well. I hope its ages before you need to use them. xxx
