Mix It Up!

It's always fun to do a bit of 'mix and match' once your collection of stamp sets gets beyond a handful. Even better when you have a few colours of card and ink, and assorted dies. Why not really shake it up and use retiring stuff, mixed with upcoming products - something old, something new.

When I saw that Beauty Of Tomorrow, pages 44-45 of the June-Dec mini catalogue, was ...
1) retiring
2) reduced to $19
I decided it could join my stash. Although the Beautiful Leaves dies are also reduced to $29.50, I haven't order them at this point in time.

For this card (above) retiring cork paper has been included, to back the dies from the Quiet Meadow bundle. The stamping on the round label is all from Beauty of Tomorrow.

The coloured doilies are in the Jan-June Mini catalogue, and include 3 colours - Misty Moonlight, Cinnamon Cider and Basic Gray.

The cork paper has again added some texture to this card with the large sentiment. I tucked a die cut from Forever Flourishing in behind, but the Beautiful Leaves dies has a similar one that could be used. I fussy cut the flowers, but there is a die to match for that and the stamped leafy image too.

I decided to use the 'Thinking Of You' sentiment from Quiet Meadow on this particular card, because I wanted a longer sentiment to place across the image without hiding too much. No doubt you have a similar sentiment among your stamps.
