Ways With Ribbon

Do you have an extensive collection of ribbon like I do? When I joined Stampin' Up! over 10 years ago, I found it hard to use so much of what I ordered. I couldn't cut the paper, or add the ribbon & embellishments, so I ended up with piles and piles of outdated stuff.

These days I make an effort to chop into paper as soon as it arrives. Even just a 10cm strip from each pattern so I can make a couple of cards. Same with ribbon and embellishments, try to use them soon after they're delivered or they are forgotten.

This Christmas tree has been made by folding back ribbon to create a triangular shape, starting at the tip. You could use any Christmas sentiment here, and 'sprinkle' stamp to fill the background. Don't forget those extra embellishments! The star atop the tree is a long-retired item, but rhinestones should be in every craft stash and isn't the strip of Be Dazzling paper stunning? It's a special SALE-A-Bration freebie, only available until 30 September.

This is a magic way to make use of those bits of ribbon you trim after tying a bow. If you don't have any of those, cut some pieces about 5cm long. Next, trim the selvedges off the edges, so you can fray the ribbon after tying it in a bunch tightly with one of the edges.

It creates a soft, pretty tassel to add to your grouping. Leaves have been die cut from Be Dazzling paper again for added shimmer and shine.

Shaded Summer is a new addition to the Annual Catalogue, and a surprise bonus were the Summer Shadows dies in the SALE-A-Bration offerings, although this one requires an order of $180 to add them to your order for free. The very thoughtful sentiments in Shaded Summer were enough for me to order this one when the catalogue was released in May.

It's always nice to add a little extra on the inside, so another floral image was stamped, this time in the darker Flirty Flamingo, and then some more ink blended over the top. If you've enjoyed these projects using ribbon, I have more for you tomorrow so check back.

Your orders are very much appreciated, no matter how small or big, every little bit helps me to meet my minimums, and keep on creating. Hopefully you are inspired by some of the projects I share, and want to make your own. My online shop is open anytime and delivery by tracked Australia Post takes 5-10 days.

When your order reaches $90 you can pick a Level 1 freebie, and $180 earns you one Level 2 or two level 1.

Maybe you are wanting to stock up on crafting goodies? There has never been a better time than now. Select $235 worth of Stampin' Up! products from either catalogue and pay only $169, including shipping, catalogues and business supplies. Then you get to add a bundle (see at end of post) which you choose yourself too and add to your starter kit.
With the most expensive bundle being worth $104.25, you are potentially able to order $339.25 worth of products and still pay $169 total.

I would love to have you in my team, most of the crew would consider themselves "shoppers with a discount" (discount starts at 20%) but you can take this business further if you wish. We have a private Facebook page where we share what we are making and get to know each other a little better. Even if you have been in my team (or someone else's) before and have dropped, there is still room for you now. Reach out if you want to know more and check this page for some more questions answered.
