The Sky Is The Limit SAB CTC#62

This week at CASE-ing The Catty we are sharing our favourite SALE-A-Bration pick, whether it be a stamp set, one of the papers or even Project Life - they're all available for you to pick when you make an order of $90. If you happen to be mad for everything in the Occasions catalogue, you can pick an item for every $90 you order ($180 = 2 items, $270 = 3 items, $360 = 4 etc). If you get as high as that, maybe you should have a chat to me about joining up as a demonstrator, Stampin' Up!® welcomes and supports all types of demonstrators from the hobby demo buying crafting supplies at a discount, through to those making it a full time business. During SALE-A-Bration you choose $295. of any products from the Annual Catalogue and/or the Occasions Catalogue and pay only $169. Of course, you can purchase your supplies through my online shop, or by contacting me, you just need to have a delivery address in Australia.

I chose the Sky Is The Limit stamp set to share this week, because I love the bi-plane image and the samples in the SALE-A-Bration magazine. It fits very nicely with the antique images from Traveler stamp set in the Annual catalogue, but it is only on offer for a limited time. As long as stock lasts or February 15th, whichever comes sooner. This is a simply sweet card, a little stamping, a little punching/die cutting (of clouds) and a little fussy cutting (plane). There is a vellum propellor on the front of the plane, just like the sample in the catalogue!

When I was checking out my box of new supplies, I noticed some of the lovely designs on Shine On Specialty Designer Series Paper, (page 31 of the Occasions Catalogue). This one has these lovely shiny silver clouds printed onto a heavier Kraft card. They inspired me to create this 'up in the clouds' card with recessed stamping. The bi-plane was stamped in Basic Grey for a softer look and the stamped clouds inside the circle have been stamped with white Craft Ink before Wink Of Stella was applied, giving a delicious sheen to the clouds.

The reverse of the clouds is Kraft and Bermuda Bay stripes, so while the card was out, I cut another strip and quickly made another masculine-type card. 'Congratulations' is another of the sentiments included with The Sky Is The Limit, that font suits all cards - for male or female birthdays, wedding, graduation etc.

I'm loving this stamp set, such cute, fun images. What is your must-have SALE-A-Bration stamp set?

If you can't wait to get some of these goodies in your hands, and you'd like me to be your demonstrator, you can shop in my online store here. Australian buyers only. My phone number if you have any questions is 0417 500 681. If your order is less than $250, it would be great if you used the Hostess code 4G296SCD when you checkout.

  7. Great trio of masculine cards Rachel. Thanks for pointing out the Shine On paper. Awesome. Did you mount the silver circles with dimensionals on top of the plane image or the image on top of silver foil circles? It looks very 3-D in your picture.

    1. Thanks for visiting, Penny. The plane image is layered under the Shine on paper with a circle cut using framelits, and then using the same circle and the next one up, I was able to cut a narrow border of silver foil. It seemed to emphasise the shiny silver clouds on the Shine On card.

  8. Great cards Rachel, I love the shine on paper but it's on the 'next order list'. what do you mean by 'recessed stamping'? Love the foil frame window.

    1. Ha, ha Liz! I limit myself too and then hang out for the start of next month, so I can buy the next stage of my 'wish' list. Recessed stamping is a fancy name for stamping on the bottom layer, showing through a cut-out hole. I might have made it up, not sure!!!
