Colour Creations - Week #21 - Fresh Freesia

The participants in AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators and members of Art With Heart. We love to Blog Hop sharing all the Stampin' Up! Colours. This is week 21 of Colour Creations Blog Hop, and we are sharing Fresh Freesia.

A Fresh Freesia card base with a mat of Highland Heather over, was the starting point. A collage piece using a mask cut from an Adhesive sheet with Split Card Texture die was used to layer some colour onto the background.

The monotone stamping was done with stamps from Quiet Meadow, while sentiments came from Inspired Thoughts. I find this 'sentiment only' stamp set really useful.

Triple-Fronted Fun Fold

These cards were made to show off Wonderful World 12" x 12" DSP, which paired with the Wonderful World stamp set is one of the larger SALE-A-Bration offerings - your free with a $180 order.

The Triple-Fronted Fun Fold is the perfect way to show off beautiful paper, and I'm sure I'll be using it again. If you order with me during August, I will email you the PDF for this card. It's so easy, you'll love making it!

Some of the ladies liked the idea of stamping a matching image on the inside too, using ink-to-rubber technique to get both colours stamped at the same time.

Wonderful World has no sentiments included, but I pulled Inspired Thoughts and Charming Sentiments from my shelf, and everyone found a sentiment to their liking amongst them.

I guess the fact this paper has two sheets of large flowers you can cut for card fronts really inspired me too.

Waves Of Inspiration was used for another card during class, so that was another option for a birthday sentiment which doesn't distract from the images.

Each card has a different combination of papers, giving them all a different look.

CTC#379 CASE SAB

The CASE-ing The Catty Crew are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from Australia & New Zealand who take inspiration weekly from the catalogues. The catalogues are a fantastic resource and we love to inspire you to seek inspiration there too. Thank you for visiting the blog of Rachel Palmieri in Melbourne, Australia.

Since July is water colouring month, I really wanted to CASE this exact page, the cards toward the left. The paper and orientation have been changed and I had to substitute some things such as leaves cut from Forever Flourishing dies. I have the SAB Rings Of Love DSP, but my Ringed With Nature Bundle is still in transit, due to be delivered sometime next week.

A few weeks back though, I had a crafty weekend away with other Stampin' Up! demos where we shared 'Shoebox Swaps'. Genna had brought a project using the Ringed With Nature Bundle, and we'd used three trunk circles on her project, leaving these in my scrap box. It's a great feeling when you use up scraps on a useful project.

The watercolour paper was dyed with Old Olive, Soft Succulent and Parakeet Party, and allowed to dry. I like the variations in colour you get colouring this way. A few leaves were cut using Forever Flourishing dies.

Inspired Thoughts provided a nice sentiment, and I'm looking forward to making some Christmas ones when the stamps arrive as there is a poinsettia flower and a Christmas greeting in it.

Colour Creations Week 4 Sweet Sorbet

The participants in Colour Creations are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators and members of Art With Heart. We love to Blog Hop sharing all the Stampin' Up! Colours. This is week four of this round of Colour Creations Blog Hop, and the In Color featured this week is Sweet Sorbet.

As I was ironing the other day, I was inspired to try to recreate my t-shirt as a One-Sheet-Wonder. It had occurred to me that Painted Poppies stamp set was quite close the the featured flower, and Hello Beautiful stamp set has squiggles and blobs which would be useful.

I didn't cover the whole sheet of card, thinking some white spaces might be useful, but I'm not sure if they really were. I was able to make six cards from that stamped sheet though, and that made me happy.

This card with three segments is a fun one to make with designer series paper that co-ordinates or like this with contrasting colours and texture. Sweet Sorbet was embossed with Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder and Old Olive with the multi-lingual 'Thanks' embossing folder. It comes paired with another with 'Hello' in many languages.

You take 3 card-front-sized pieces of card, and slice all three at the same time so that the pieces are inter-changeable. No special measurements are needed, so long as you have 3 that match each other.

For the other 3 cards, there is a regular card front, mounted on a black matt, another with the card front sliced into 4 pieces and lastly, a slimline card with Postage Card Punch pieces lined up along the centre.

CTC#345 Inspired By You

This week we are simply CASE-ing the colours of the Blackberry Beauty Suite on page 44-45 of the mini catalogue. These are Polished Pink, Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry, Early Espresso, Cinnamon Cider and gold.

This is such a luscious combination of colours. Beginning with Blackberry Bliss and a blending brush. one end of the card stock was coloured. Polished Pink was added at the other end and blended in the middle. It was sprayed with water to create a mottled effect, and then some more splatters came from a Stampin' Write marker.

Two images from Hand Penned Petals were stamped in Versamark onto Watercolour paper, and gold embossing powder was added. After wetting paper with water, drops of Polished Pink and Cinnamon Cider ink were added in the appropriate places.
