Colour Creations Blog Hop - Week 17 - Cherry Cobbler

Contributors to this blog hop are all members of Claire Daly's Art With Heart group. Every Wednesday night at 8p.m AEST we feature a fabulous Stampin' Up! colour, in alphabetical order.

Week 17 is Cherry Cobbler, from our regals collection and perfect for Christmas. I do suspect you will see a large number of Christmas projects this week. My colour choices are Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Wild Wheat.

As a demonstrator, I have been able to order early from the mini catalogue which goes live to customers on September 4th. Winterly Tree Tops is not strictly a Christmas stamp bundle as it has only more generic sentiments, which allowed me to include Greetings of the Season.

Another new stamp set I'm having fun with is Round We Go, a birthday/celebration stamp and die bundle which includes a die for the rosette behind the label. A new 3D textured embossing folder, Birchwood, has made an appearance on this card too!

This is my first Christmas card this year, it was so much fun to create and colour the pieces.

The amazing Christine Blain is next up, with another Christmas idea I do believe!

If at any time you find a broken link or would like to see a full list of participants, please head to the blog of our host of the AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop, Catherine Proctor.

Happy crafting,

  1. Great combination of products on your beautiful Christmas bird card, Rachel. The rosette looks amazing behind the sentient and I love how you've used the different colours on the sentiment too.

  2. This is a beautiful card, Rachel. I love how you coloured the bird, and the inclusion of Wild Wheat in your colour combo is inspired - it really lifts the other colours. The rosette, and the dual-coloured sentiment, looks great.

  4. Such a lovely card Rachel and I love the addition of the rosette for a point of difference. I've been using Wild Wheat a bit too as an alternate to gold. It goes so well.

  5. I just love that little bird perched up on top, Rachel, it's like he just swooped on in as you have taken the photo!!! All the layers upon your Rosette are wonderful too.

  6. The colours are beautiful together and I just love the bird from the Winterly Tree Tops bundle. I'm seeing a theme for Christmas cards and lots of birds with this week's hop. The embossed background is so nice in white. Beautiful first Christmas card for the start of many more to come.
