Colour Creations Blog hop - Week #3 - Moody Mauve

This week we are featuring Moody Mauve, our third In Color to be showcased on Colour Creations Blog Hop. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy all the different projects on the blog hop.

In The Moment has been on my shelf for at least a year, I don't recollect exactly how long it has been in the Stampin' Up! catalogue. I enjoy trying out older stamps with new colours and papers, it gives them such a fresh, new feel.

Fresh As A Daisy DSP seemed to suit although the flower centres are more Copper Clay than Moody Mauve. Two layers of die cut daisies cut from basic white enhance the art piece. Admittedly there is a lot of Boho Blue on this card also, but it suits so well, don't you think?

Cheerful Daisies is the name of the stamp & die bundle, newly released by Stampin' Up! For a suite I didn't think I needed, it has been getting a lot of use!!!

The wonderfully talented Rosa Leyden follows, let's go check out her project.

If at any time you find a broken link or would like to see a full list of participants, please head to the blog of our host of the AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop, Catherine Proctor.

  1. What a great mix of old and new on your card, Rachel. I love the way you've bought all your elements together and especially the way you've layered your die cut daisies on the edge of the stamped panel.

  2. I think Moody Mauve goes so well with blues (a bit of a surprise, to me!); your colour combo is beautiful, and really uplifting, Rachel. I like the way you've combined the daisy-patterned paper and die-cut daisy elements.

  6. Yes, Boho Blue definitely goes really well with Moody Mauve. I love that you have chosen an older stamp for a fresh new look, such a great idea. I would like to be this lady sitting in the window sill with a warm cuppa, watching the world go by! Great card.
