CTC#308 CASE-ing The Colours of Sand & Sea DSP

It would have been far too easy to have used the paper from this suite, so I gave it a bit of thought before deciding to see how this scene from Seaside View would look in the challenge colours.

I substituted Crumb Cake for the Sahara Sand in Stampin' Blends, and used the Blushing Bride Stampin' Write Marker for the chair backs and seat. However, I needed to add Soft Seafoam for the foliage.

I'd planned to include some shells from Friends Are Like Seashells, and settled for a little background stamping on the base, as well as the sentiment - so cute. Did you know that Seaside Spray is retiring May 3rd? Such a lovely shade of blue, lovely for baby cards too, so don't forget to check your stash and top up before it's all gone.

Even though there is a lot of pink, I'm actually liking it, & especially love the pop that Melon Mambo provided in the pot and fruit bowl. It's fun when a challenge takes you outside your comfort zone, and then you're happy with where it took you. So... are you planning to join us for this challenge? You can share your creation on our Facebook page

  5. Oooh, I'd quite happily sit in one of these seats for an hour or two, reading a book or sipping a cocktail! The colours work perfectly, and I also love the pop of Mambo.
