CASE-ing The Animals CTC#276

Welcome back to another week of CASE-ing The Catty. The crew is made up of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all parts of Australia and New Zealand. You are at the blog of Rachel Palmieri, Independent Stampin' Up!® demonstrator. I run classes at my home studio in South Morang, Victoria, share Stampin' Up!® products and tools at parties for my customers, create Craft By Post classes, coach my lovely team and create cards and the occasional 3D project. This week we are CASE-ing the Animals of the catalogue.

So, I was meant to be going away for a few days and then Melbourne was locked down again due to rising numbers of Covid-19 cases. It's wet and miserable in Melbourne anyway so decided to get crafting and make a card CASE-ing the goats on page 105 in the annual catalogue. Nothing better than some colouring with blends and a bright new card to cheer up the day.

CASE-ing Page 105 of the Stampin' Up! annual catalogue

Have you seen those goats? I think they might be a love/hate stamp set, but the concept artists have made 3 cards, stepping each one up a touch, and I've CASE-d the most stepped up version. The art piece is placed to the centre right of the card, and I thought the layering was very effective, but substituted designer series paper and a watercoloured arrangement of flowers.

You have no idea what a difference the textured embossing made to this card. I must remember to show my students when we get back to classes, they probably will find it hard to believe how much it 'lifts' a card.

This week the amazing Judy May follows me, and you can be sure she shares a quality project with us.

There is always so much inspiration in these catalogues, I'm sure that is why CASE-ing the Catty is so successful! Now it's your turn to show what you can do with a little catalogue inspiration. Add your work at our Facebook challenge here.

I'd love you to choose my online shop to purchase from, and when you use the Host Code at check out, I will send you a gift. The items listed below were used in my projects above, and link to that item in my online shop.

  2. It was a perfect weekend for crafting, Rachel. The colours you've chosen for your flowers are very pretty and work really well with the background. The jury is still out on the goat stamp set for me!
